Rick answered the phone on the first ring, she should have been back two hours ago. When he answered he said, "Hello." The person on the other end said, "Is this Rick Anderson?" He replied, "Yes, who is this?" The person on the other said, "I'm Dr. Hopkins, you need to come to the hospital, it's about Angela Smith. Then Rick said, "I'll be there soon." He hung up and ran out to the car; he sped off.

It only took him five minutes to reach the hospital; he ran inside. He walked quickly to the front desk and said, "I need to see a Dr. Hopkins please." She smiled at him and over the intercom said, "Dr. Hopkins, please report down to the front desk."

A few minutes later, the doctor appeared at the front desk. He said to Rick, "Please follow me." Rick nodded and followed him to his office. The doctor motion for him to sit down and he did. Dr. Hopkins asked, "What is your relationship with her?" He replied sullenly, "I'm her boyfriend." Dr. Hopkins said, "I have some bad news, it doesn't look like she is going to make it. She was hit by a semi, while walking across the street. Right now she is in a coma. She might last only a few weeks." Rick wished he could cry right now, but he knew that would never happen. He looked at the doctor and asked, "Can I see her, please?" The doctor replied, "yes, follow me."

They walked up a few flight of stairs and walked down the end of the hallway, they entered the room at the end of the hallway. When he saw her, he thought he was going to fall apart. She had a wound on her head that had bleed a lot, she was given a blood transfusion. He turned to Dr. Hopkins and asked, "What are the chances that she will.... survive?" Dr. Hopkins replied, "one in a million." What they didn't know was that she was one in a million. The doctor said, "I'll leave you to be alone with her." Then the doctor left the room.

He sat in the chair that was next to Angela. He held her hands for what seemed like a long time. He spoke to her, "I wish I was there with you. You would have ended up like this, I would of saved you. I'll never love anyone else like you, your the only one for me. The odds of you surviving is one in a million. I'm going to go out on my own, I'm going to move away from here. This means that this is good bye my love, my Angela." He left and went to the doctor's office.

He knocked on the door and waited for a response. Dr. Hopkins said, "Come in." Rick entered the doctors office. The doctor asked him, "How may I help you?" He asked the doctor, "Can you let me know when her funeral is?" The doctor said, "yes, of course." Rick said, "I'll give you my cell phone number." He handed the doctor a card that had his cell phone number on it. Rick left and headed back to the apartment.

When he got back to his apartment, he started packing his clothes, everything he had. Within an hour, he had everything packed and in his car. He called her work place and let them know what happened to her, he didn't tell them that she wouldn't make it. He left the apartment and never looked back.

Tell me what you think about my story. I came up with story with a dream. I can't tell you the dream because that would be giving the story away. I will up load a new chapter soon.
