I came in late to work today and my boss was not pleased with that. It's not my fault I couldnt sleep last night. I kept thinking about Kam and how she asked me about me and my dad's relationship out of nowhere. That shit is just mad weird to me. Kam did call me earlier when I was getting dressed but I didnt answer.

I tried my best to focus on my job but it was kinda hard for me to do that. I was tired but mostly deep in my thoughts. Plus, Robby kept bothering me from time to time like an annoying mosquito. He's really lucky we on the job because if we weren't....well...you know how that goes.

After a couple long hours went by, it was finally time to clock out. I took my vest off and headed towards the back to put my stuff up before leaving.

"Leaving without saying goodbye, Sin." Robby's annoying voice made me cringe.

"Can you leave me the fuck alone?" I angrily asked while clocking out.

Robby chuckled as he began to clock out.

"I'm just being friendly, Sin. No harm in that."

I rolled my eyes, "I dont fuck with you nigga, so keep that friendly shit over there."

I walked out the door and just headed to my car before I really bust this dude in his shit. I took out my phone and texted Veondra, telling her to meet me at this bar tonight for a couple drinks.

I just really need to wind down.

After a hot, stress relieving shower, I got dressed and brushed my teeth before walking out into the living room. I turned on the tv and stood there changing the channel until I heard a knock at my door. Its probably Veondra.

I walked over to the door and opened it without checking through the peephole.

"You wanna explain to me why you havent been answering my calls?" Kam asked as she held her phone up to my face.

Kam did blow my phone up after I clocked out. I just kept sending her to voicemail.

"I've been bu-" I was cut off when Kam pushed passed me. "....busy..."

Kam looked around nodding in approval before looking back at me.

"Uh huh..you could've just said you were busy instead of sending me to voicemail."

"I'm sorry...anyways, I'm about to he-"

"OH SHIT!!" Kam shouted as she backed away from Simba. "You got a fucking cat?!"

"Uhh yeah.." I said, walking past Kam.

I picked Simba up and began to rub his soft fur. Kam looked at me as if I were crazy.

"You dont like cats?" I asked.

"I hate cats. Especially the ones that look like that cat from Pet Semetary." She explained while shuddering.

"Well...do you like dogs?"

"Hell no." Kam said as she started to look around my apartment. "I'm more of a snake type of person."

"Interesting.." I put Simba down and poured his some more food and have him some fresh water.

"Mhm but anyways I actually came by to apologize for last night." Kam suddenly said. "I didnt mean to be soo nosey.."

"Its fine.." I said while shrugging.

Kam stared at me for a moment before nodding. She looked me over and began to smirk.

"Going somewhere?"

"Yeah. I'm meeting a friend at this bar downtown." I told her while grabbing my Jean jacket off the coat hanger.
