I sat down on the dew covered grass and stared out at the lake. The sun was beginning to set, casting an orange light on my face.

My Dad had left the house to attend to some business with his job so I decided to come here and clear my head.

This week has been hectic. The news reports kept mentioning the murders and how detectives are now further investigating the crimes more carefully. My father is unfazed by the situation but I'm worried. I dont want him to get arrested.

I sat there hugging my knees as I watched the water ripple. If only i could rewind back time...

"You're here alone?" A girls voice said from behind me, making me jump.

I turned around and seen this slim girl standing there wearing an oversized nike hoodie with black jeans on. She wore glasses and her hair was straight but in a ponytail.

"Y-yeah.." I stuttered still looking at her.

She smiled and sat down next to me.

"You come here often?" She asked while looking at the sunset.

"Sometimes.." I sheepishly replied. "You?"

The girl shrugged, "Yeah, but when I want to get away from everything else. This is sorta like my happy place."

The girl looked over me and tilted her head to the side as if she were studying me.

"What's your name?" She asked.

"Sincerae but you can call me Sin."

"Unique name. I've never seen you around before. You go to Cloverville Middle School?"

"Yeah, it's my last year though. I'll be starting highschool pretty soon."

"Lucky. I'll be starting eighth grade next year.." the girl frowned as she ripped a blade of grass out the ground.

"Eighth grade isn't soo bad..." I said while still staring at her.

"I know...its just that...nevermind." The girl wrapped the blade of grass around her finger before sighing. "I'm really supposed to be starting highschool next year too but I started school late because of my mom."

"Oh...sorry about that."

"Its whatever. She's not around anymore..."

There was a dark expression on her face as she ripped the blade of grass in half. She chewed on her bottom lip for awhile before getting up.

"I should be going."

"W-wait!" I called out while standing up. "What's your name?"

The girl ignored me and kept walking.

I stood there, awkwardly rubbing the back of my neck as I watched her dissapear from view...

"Where are you taking me?" I asked Kam while giving her a suspicious look.

Kam chuckled as she drove, "You'll see."

I rolled my eyes and sat back in my seat.

"If you're driving me somewhere to kill me I swear..."

Kam began to bust out laughing but I was serious. All this weird energy she's been giving off lately got me on edge. Plus, I still dont know who this girl really is.

"You're funny but nah I'm not gonna kill you," she stated. "I just have a surprise for you."

"A surprise?"
