Poem number three in my collection of ten poems about mental disorders. This is about PTSD.
There is nothing that separates your nightmares from your reality.
It makes you feel unfree.
You're suck in the past and you can't get out.
A bang in your mind, a light in your eyes.
You can't talk to anyone you're under disguise.
Jumpy and scared your past plays a reprise.
Still you can't help it, it's all in your mind.
To relive the past your are inclined.
You grab all your weapons.
Convinced your in danger.
That just makes your behavior stranger.
It's really hard to live your life.
When you're dealing with this kind of strife.
A bang in your mind, a light in your eyes.
You're on the other side.
Now you can fly.
Your friends and family will be right beside you.
They'll be right there to love and to guide you.
Until those memories come with a clang.
And you hear...
A BANG!!!!
