I woke up the next morning with the encounter with Lilah on my mind. How could DeAndre do this to Lilah? I thought. There's no other alternative but to go see him. I got my jacket and was heading towards the door. Lilah was already up and was preparing er breakfast. "Goodmorning, Robby!" Lilah said. "Hey Lilah. I'll be back. Just tell dad I went for a jog." I said reaching for the front door knob. "You're not going to see DeAndre are you?" she said, raising her spatula. "Yea, why?" I said, walking towards her.
"Look Robby, I know how concerned you are about everything but I can gurantee you that everything is okay. I'm fine." she said, going back to making her breakfast. "Okay. I still want to see him. He's my best friend." I said, going out the door. I drove my dad's car to the hospital. Then I went to the counter and said," Hello ma'am. I'm looking for a DeAndre---" "DeAndre has been checked out recntly." she said, gathering her papers. "Oh so he's back home." I said, getting my hopes up.
"He was checked out....forever." she said. "So...." I said. "Sweetheart. Your friend's recently pasted away." she said. Tears started coming to my eyes. "You're kidding right. Please tell me that you're kidding." I said, with a chuckle. "Sorry honey." she said, with tears coming to her eyes. I ran out of the hospital and got inside the car. How am I going to tell Lilah? How am I going to tell all o my family? What am I going to do without my best friend? I let out a big scream. I drove home.
I walked in the house and slammed the door. "Robby. What's wrong?" Lilah asked, while stufing her face with blueberry pancakes. "It's DeAndre." Isaid, covering my face with my hands. "Oh no. You didn't go and yell at him did you? Leave him the fuck alone!" she said, trying to catch a attitude. "Lilah DeAndre's gone. He's dead. He's never coming back." I said, wiping tears down my eyes. "Ahhhhhhhhh!" Lilah cried.
Dear Friends and Family,
By now you gus have discovered my body and are crying are still in shock. You probably don't even understand why the hell I did it. I have my reasons---
1. My parents ending their twenty year marriage.
2. DeAndre's death.
3. All the everyday struggles.
I can't deal....I just can't deal. Everybody, I'm so sorry for leaving like this, but it's something that I just can't go on with life. If you were in my shoes, you'd understand.
Sincerly and With Much Love,
