High school was miserable. Most days I couldn't go from class to class without hearing someone laughing or badmouthing me along the hallways. I remember some seniors stick stickers on my backpack that had mean comments written on them. This turned me into a very insecure and introverted person. I had never been like that before.
I would spend every day walking in the hallways with my head down so that no one would see me. I even had pencil case with a mirror in it to make sure there was nothing on my face for people to make fun of. Weird thought I know but that's the kind of person that hatred turned me into.
When I finally got home from school I would be on my phone for the remainder of the day. Social media was my happy place. The videos uploaded by Dolan Twins on their channel made me forget about the negative things that went on in school and motivated me to keep alive.
This taught me that surrounding yourself with the right people is very important for your happiness.
