This one is a brutal one at times, sound, sight, hunger, energy, thirst, all plays into your survival in this zombieland survival situation, you build a base, recruit survivors and try to escape, in the story mode there is a little more to it than that, having to go through various situations from fending off the zombie hordes to dealing with rednecks who've been causing your group problems. The game hasn't got too many types of zombies but that works for it in this game, too many types and it'd get way too complicated for a semi-true survival style of game.
Through the game you switch between characters, unable to stay as one as if you did, you'd end up with only a slither of stamina to fight the hordes with, guns and melee weapons are at your disposal through searching houses and other poi's searching is slow though you can speed it up at the cost of making more noise, attracting nearby zombies to your location.
This is a game I certainly sunk plenty of time into and didn't regret buying or its dlc.
So without a doubt, I'd recommend this one to anyone who enjoys zombies and survival.
