I woke up sweating profusely. My first thought was Taehyung. I have to know he's okay. My eyes meet Hoseok's. "Where is Taehyung?" His face softened. "He's over there." He nods his head in the direction of the couch in my room. I follow his gaze. I found myself looking at the sleeping body of Taehyung. "He wanted to rest before the show, he said that he wanted to sleep in here, in case you needed anything." Hoseok had taken his eyes off of the younger and was now looking back at me.
"He, he died..." is all I can say. I never took my eyes off of the boy, who was wearing the same outfit as he was in my dream. Hoseok spoke softly. "Nothing in this world could kill that man. Believe me." I found myself looking for Hoseok's eyes in the moonlit room. I was about to say something, but he cut me off. "You should get ready, we leave in a half hour." He then turned away from me, walking over to the sleeping boy. He attempts to wake him from his slumber. I watch as Taehyung groggily got up from the couch and headed for the door. He turned to me smiling before exiting the room. I'm not sure if it was the darkness of the room mixed in with the moonlight, or if I'm just crazy, but I could have sworn his eyes were a shade of purple. Hoseok followed after Taehyung leaving me alone to get ready.
I roughel my hair as I walk over to the dresser. Someone must have brought in some clothes while I was asleep. Because there is two outfits laying out for me to wear for the concert and flight. There is a pair of black sweatpants matched with a black puma sweatshirt for the plane and for the concert there's a long sleeve shirt and some jeans with a leather jacket.
I took the outfit for the plane and put it inside my backpack. Then I picked up the concert wear and slide into the clothes. I finish by lacing up my boots and grabbing my bag. I take one last look out of the window at the city, taking in all the sight. After a moment, I headed out to the living room, to set my stuff down and smoke a cigarette on the balcony.
No one was out of their rooms yet, so I quietly opened the sliding door and stepped out into the chilly night air, breathing in deeply. Jungkook had bought me a pack of cigarettes, to show that he would hold up his end of the deal. I reached into my jacket pocket and pulled one of them out, putting it up to my lips; lighting the end of it.
Breathing out the smoke, I lean against the railing thinking about everything. I do this a lot; look back on my past.
"Ya know, you really shouldn't smoke those." A soft voice sounded from behind me. I gasp. "Damn, Jimin! Don't you make noise when you walk?" I say out of shock. "Sorry, I didn't mean to scare you." My heart rate is through the roof. "It's okay, just announce yourself from now on." I turn away from him, facing the city once more. Jimin walks closer, leaning up against the railing, just as I am.
There was a moment of silence, before he broke it. "What are you always thinking about?" I take a moment before answering him. "My life." He wasn't looking at me, that's what I like about him. He never looks at me. "What about your life?" I can hear the hesitation in his voice. It's as if I make him nervous.A smile creeps across my face, a bittersweet one. "I think about how I never have a clue what I'm doing, or a clue where I'm going. I think about how my life has always been a battle. But somehow, I manage to keep winning the fight." He takes a moment before looking over at me. "Red, you know we're your family now right? We will protect you." My smile starts to fade. "C'mon Jimin, it's about that time." I put my cigarette out on the bottom of my boot. I stick it back in my pack. I want to believe him, but no one ever sticks around me. Not forever.
He follows me as I walk back into the house.Everyone is now in the living room getting ready to leave. I take a seat at the bar, watching as Jin makes food for the road. Hoseok and Jungkook are running through some last minute choreography, while Yoongi and Namjoon are sitting on the couch having a quiet conversation. Taehyung and the girl are playing a card game. Jimin had taken a seat next to me. I notice that he started to fidget with his bracelet.
There is an incredibly unique design on it that he was adjusting. It was fascinating. I tried to get a closer look, but I was interrupted by hoseok and Jungkook. "Red, Yoshi says you're an army. Right?" Hoseok says while panting. "Uh, yeah sorta, why?" I'm confused that this is being brought up now. Yoongi walked over and whispered something in Hoseok's ear. Hoseok nods and turns back to me. "Come here and dance baepsae and fire for us real quick." He motions me to come to him.
"Ha uh no thanks, nope absolutely not. You want me to what? Are you nuts?" This dude is out of his damn mind. He really thinks I'm going to just dance in front of them. "We don't have a whole lot of time left, just run through it with Jungkook real quick."
Taehyung starts clapping out of excitement. "Red is going to dance?! Yes!!" He pulled his arm to his side like a child getting told they can get the toy at the store. I couldn't disappoint him so I got up nervously, but did my best not to show it. I go stand by Jungkook, waiting for the music to start. I whisper to him. "Don't mess up twinkle toes." Before he could come up with a comeback, the music for baepsae started. I take my position, knowing only Jimin and Yoongi's parts.
