Silence. He hasn't said a word since we came out to the balcony. I don't know if I would rather have him explain everything or if I'm better off with him being silent. Either way I'm uncomfortable and scared. "Kaos..." His voice is low, careful. Confusion and rage begin to boil inside my body. "My name is NOT Kaos! Why do you keep calling me that?" "Because that's who you are! You are Kaos, Red!" I shake my head not believing him. Not believing any of this, I have to be dreaming. None of this can be real! I mean come on, fallen angels, soulmates it's all so far fetched.
"You're insane!" I belt at him. 'I'm not insane.' I tilt my head to the side, knowing that he didn't say a word, but that I did hear his voice echo throughout my head. 'Kaos, I don't know how else to prove it to you. Except to show you.' "Yoongi. What the hell is going on?" 'You can hear peoples' thoughts. Thoughts of people around you, who have no knowledge of this world, just keep living their lives as if things are normal. I peer over the balcony, looking down at the busy street. Everyone is going through their morning routines as normal. Cars and buses keep moving, the guy on his bike is waiting for the signal at the crosswalk. A girl opens the door to the coffee shop across the street, probably in a rush to get her coffee and go home to finish her work. Everyone is so oblivious to the world around them.
"Try to listen to him." Yoongi rests his arms on the railing. I look at him still unsure of all of this. Then I glance at the man walking on the sidewalk below us. 'I really don't know how I'm going to get to work on time. I can't believe I woke up so late. Mr. Ross is really gonna fire me this time. Fuck.' I stare at Yoongi in disbelief. "Yoongi... How can this be real." A tear falls down my cheek. He pulls me into a tight embrace. "None of us actually know, it just is..."
