*George walked down the sidewalk, almost home from his morning walk and lost in the music in his earbuds, when instead of landing on the concrete, his foot kept falling into...*

a hole in the sidewalk that he knew was there and should have missed. Not only did his foot get soaked by the water that was in the hole, he got tripped up and almost faceplanted on the sidewalk. Luckily, he was able to throw his hands out to stop that part, though. He immediately looked up, hoping beyond hope that there hadn't been an audience for his mishap. In front of him, the sidewalk was empty. Behind him, however, there was one lone soul.

She approached quickly, her hand outstretched to assist in getting him back on his feet. George thought about how much she looked like an angel as she approached. Her soft blonde locks were pulled up into a loose ponytail and a few stray strands had escaped and were framing her face perfectly. Her deep blue eyes showed a hint of amusement, but more than anything, they showed concern and compassion. A small smile played on her perfectly plump pink limps. As soon as she helped him up, he pulled out his earbuds.

"Are you okay?" She looked him over as she awaited his response.

"Uhm, yeah, I'm fine. Just got a little too absorbed in the music..." He gave a half laugh as he got lost in her eyes.

"Okay, good. I've tried to get them to fill that in more than once, but it obviously keeps making it to the bottom of the list of things to do... I was afraid you were going to step into it, well dance into it, and tried to yell, but the earbuds..." She gave a giggle.
