** If Jackie had been asked as a child what job she would never, ever have, she would have said banker. To her, banks were boring, cold, and boring again, and she didn't care all that much about money. Because fate loves irony, she got a job as a teller to pay off her student loans. The day her boss called her in for her annual performance review and offered her the bank manager position...**

she was floored. She asked for a few days to mull it over. Honestly, it was an ideal position for her. She'd be more than able to provide for herself and contribute to a family if and when that ever happened. When she got home that day, the first thing she did was call her mom.

"Hey Jackie, how was your day?" Her mom's greeting on the other end was warm as always and she found herself smiling in response.

"Hi Mom, it was great! I got my annual performance review today." She left her mom hanging in suspense.

"Well I know that went well, but since you aren't going to elaborate, I'll bite. What did they say?" She heard her mom's smile form as she spoke.

"They offered me the bank manager's position!" Jackie surprised herself with how excited she sounded.

"Oh my! That's some amazing news honey!" her mom exclaimed.

"I know it is." She bit her lip as she thought about it more.

"Yet I now hear a 'but' in that statement. Why is there a but?"

"Mom, I never pictured myself doing something like this, like ever."

"Okay dear, but do you enjoy it?"

"I mean, it's not terrible..." She lightly drummed her fingers as she tried to think.

"Honey, if you're enjoying the job right now and feel like the manager position would fit into your life puzzle, then take it. If you change your mind later, it's fine. You aren't stuck forever. It'll even add a very nice touch to your resume."

"Yeah, I guess so..."

"Now, the most important question. Have you prayed about it?"
