Chapter 2

Once everyone finished their food, me and Kagome excused ourselves and went back upstairs. "God that was amazing, I love your moms cooking so much." I said falling back onto Kagome's bed with a full stomach and comfy clothes on. "Oh, and thanks for letting me borrow your clothes Kagome." I said giving her a smile, "You're just lucky you fit into the same stuff I do, otherwise lord knows what we would do then." I chuckled at her comment, I sat up still on the bed, I looked out of the window and stared at the starry sky. I stared until I heard someone clear their throat from behind me, I looked over my shoulder to find Kagome standing behind me, arms crossed over her chest. "Oh no, what did I do this time?" I said, turning completely around to face Kagome completely, me and her both stared at each other before we both busted out into a laughing fit. Once we finished laughing I wiped my eye and grabbed the pillow and blanket she layed out for me. "Ok, I'm gonna head to bed Kagome, see you in the morning. Wake me up if anything important happens." She hums in agreement and gets in her bed, she grabs her alarm clock setting an alarm before putting her head down on her pillow, I watched her shuffle until she stopped moving. I watched as the place where she was laying raised up and down, I slowly set my head down on my pillow and started drifting off to sleep.

 Before I knew it I was already in dream land, I had wild dreams the whole night until my dream was interrupted by an alarm going off. I opened one eye and instantly closed it, the sun was shining directly on me. Kagome turned her alarm off and stood up, she walked over to me and layed down next to me. She got close to my face and whispered into my ear, "Wake up, Y/n" She was closer than I thought, it caused me to jump at the sudden noise, she chuckled sitting up along with me. I rubbed my ear and gave her a glare, "How many times do I have to tell you that I hate it when you do that!" She started giggling even more, "I know, that's why I do it to wake you up!" She stood up holding out her hand for me to grab, I happily accepted the offer and allowed her to pull me up. Once I got on my feet a stretched my arms into the air and rubbed the sleepiness from my eye. "What are we doing today, Kagome?" She turned her attention to me, "I was thinking of going into town and just hanging out, maybe call Hojo or Eri. What do you think?" She said looking into her closet for clothing. I nodded in agreement, "I'm down." I said smiling at her, she gave me a smile and threw a (f/c) skirt at me, followed by a white shirt, and socks. I smiled and walked into the bathroom to quickly change into my outfit for the day, as I finished pulling the skirt up to my liking I stepped out to bed greeted by Kagome coming out of her room at the same time. "Hey Kagome, do you have a hair tie?"

She nodded before turning around and going back into her room, only for her door to open a few minutes later. She handed me a (f/c) hair tie, I gave her a smile and looked into the mirror, I put my hair into a ponytail before heading downstairs after Kagome. Ms. Higurashi was in the kitchen washing dishes when me and Kagome walked in, "Oh Y/n, Kagome, could you go see what Sota is doing by the shrine? You know grandpa doesn't like you guys going near there." Me and her both nodded before putting on our shoes and walking outside. As we got closer to Sota I was able to make out the words he was saying, "Buyo, come on out boy!" Me and Kagome exchanged looks before walking over to him, "Sota what are you doing?" I asked with confusion, he turned around looking at me and Kagome with worry in his eyes, "Buyo went into the Shrine and he won't come out, you gotta help me guys!" Kagome sighed before looking at me, I nodded and we both walked into the Shrine, "Gosh I swear that cat is going to be the death of me." Kagome grumbled under her breath, I chuckled at her statement before turning back around to look at Sota. "Hey Sota, did you see where he went?" He shook his head, "No, maybe he went into the well." I nodded before turning around and walking down the stairs to meet up with Kagome, who was looking down the well. "Nothings here, just soil." She said, turning back around to look at Sota who was peeking past the door of the Shrine. "You sure Buyo came in here Sota?" I asked, he nodded, "I'm positive, or well I think I am. You know what maybe he didn't even come in here, it might have been a leaf." Kagome's eye twitched as she facepalmed, I rolled my eyes at Sota, "So he didn't come in here?" Kagome asked, anger lacing her voice. "Yes? Wait, no. I DON'T KNOW!" I sighed before turning around to look at Kagome, she turned around and looked down the well again, this time I looked with her. We both shook our heads, turning back around to leave the Shrine, but as we did I felt something brush against my ankle so I screamed falling back onto the ground. Kagome screamed as well, and so did Sota. I looked in front of me to see what caused that to come face to face with Buyo. I blinked a few times, Buyo doing the same thing, I chuckled and got up. Dusting off my skirt before standing up and grabbing Buyo, Sota looked at me with a sparkle in his eye. "Is this what you were looking for?" I asked with pride lacing my voice, "Buyo!" Sota practically yelled, as I set down the cat, he walked up to Sota. I chuckled yet again, Kagome shut the well up and turned to walk out of the Shrine, but as we started to do so Sota's eyes widened. Me and Kagome exchanged looks before we heard the sound of the top of the well coming off. Kagome quickly turned around, I did so soon after. The top of the well flew off, me and Kagome covered our eyes and noses so the smoke couldn't get into our eyes or lungs. As we coughed and fanned the smoke away I finally got a look at what caused the top of the well to fly off. My eyes widened and I felt my heartbeat speed up, "W-What is t-that?"
