"Ok Dog Boy" Inuyasha x Reader

Chapter 4

I was woken up by the sound of talking, as I slowly opened my eyes I quickly shut them by the sudden light that flowed into the room. I groaned and covered my eyes attempting to block out the light. As I did so someone quickly grabbed my arm exposing my eyes to the light yet again, I shut my eyes and attempted to get out of the person's grip. "Y/n wake up!" Kagome's voice reached my ears as I slowly opened my eyes, as my eyes landed on Kagome leaning over me I blinked a few times before sitting up. As I looked around the hut one thing stood out, dog ears. I looked over at the person's head to see long silver hair and a red kimono, I looked between the Inuyasha to Kagome, as I continued looking back and forth Inuyasha seemed to notice cause he turned his head to look over his shoulder, "You got a problem?" I shook my head and looked over to Kagome who was talking to Kaede. I soon heard some sound on the roof that made me jump in shock and confusion, I looked up at the roof to see what the noise was but I saw nothing. No one else seemed to notice so I got up and stepped outside, making sure not to alarm anyone inside of the hut. As I stepped foot outside I looked around at the village, or what was left of what Mistress Centipede left behind. I heard the noise I heard inside the hut again and looked at the roof, this time I saw a man on top of the roof repairing it, I walked closer to the hut and kept my eyes on him. "You need help, sir?" 

I asked, he stopped doing what he was in the middle of doing and narrowed his eyes at me. "Help?" I nodded and he whipped the sweat off his head. "You sure miss? I don't want to trouble you?" I shook my head, "It's not bothering me I offered to help." I said giving him a warm smile, he nodded in agreement and helped me up on the roof, he explained what he was doing, handed me the tools and I soon got to work. As I was about to finish up patching a hole in the roof I heard my name being called from below me, I set down the tools and peeked my head over the roof to see who was calling me name. I saw Kagome calling my name looking all around, "Y/n! Where did you go?!" I chuckled some which seemed to alarm her, she quickly turned around before looking up to see me basically hanging off the roof. "Y/N! WHAT ARE YOU DOING GET DOWN!" She yelled which seemed to alarm Kaede, cause she soon came out of the hut to see me on the roof. "Child what are ye doing on my roof?" I almost folded into two laughing so hard, "I.. w-was helping.. The guy f-fix the roof.. aha!"

 Kagome and her both exchanged looks before sighing in defeat, "What's with all the yelling" Inuyasha groaned walking out of the hut, he followed their gaze's to see me wiping the tears from my eyes. The man that I was helping started climbing down the roof, he lifted his hand for me to take. I gladly took his hand and hopped down, as I finally reached the ground I stretched my arms up, "That was tiring." I yawned, as I gazed around I noticed Inuyasha slowly started walking away, Kagome followed my gaze and looked back at me. She turned to look at Kaede, "Do we have anything important to do?" Kagome asked, Kaede shook her head, "I was going to help some of my people to finish rebuilding our village." Me and her nodded before turning around to follow Inuyasha, once we got to the spot he stopped at he had disappeared me and Kagome to see where he could have gone, we looked up the tree to see him sitting there his eyes closed. Me and Kagome sat at the trunk of the tree, "Hey Inuyasha" I started off, silence. I sighed before looking up to see if he had woken up, his eyes were still closed. I sighed before looking over to Kagome who was sitting down at the tree trunk. I decided to join her, by sitting down and looking up at Inuyasha who was still facing the opposite way as us. "Hey Inuya-" 

Before I could finish I was rudely cut off by the demon boy, "Shut up!" He yelled, looking over his shoulder before turning back around to face the direction he was originally looking in. I felt the anger boil inside of me, I looked over at Kagome who was messing with the Shikon Jewel around her neck. I sighed to attempt to calm myself down but in the process of doing that, the damn mutt had to open his mouth again. "God could you be any louder? Stop sighing and just shut up already!"
