Chapter 1

Y/N Pov

I was woken up by my alarm clock going off, I groaned and covered my head with my pillow. That didn't really help block out the sound, it still continued to ring. I finally got mad enough I rolled over and slammed the off button, once I did so I gave myself a small smile before letting out a relieved sigh. As I went to lay back down in my (F/C) cotton sheets a knock came from my door, "Y/N darling, you heard your alarm you better not go back to sleep." I sighed and got back up from my bed and opened my door, I was greeted by my mother holding a laundry basket, "Oh, Y/N! Good morning dear, I washed your uniform for you." She said as she handed me my green and white uniform. I nodded in agreement and gave her a warm smile, "Thanks, mom." She gave me a warm smile in return and looked over at the clock on the wall. "Oh goodness, it's already 7:17 I'll go ahead and cook breakfast, be down before 7:40 Y/N" My mother called out before descending the stairs, "Yes ma'am," I said as I turned around and headed into my room. I sat down, my uniform on my bed and looked over at my clock, '7:20' I thought, I grabbed my uniform and continued to put it on. Once I finished putting on my uniform I grabbed my hairbrush and brushed out my (H/L) (H/C) hair.

I gave myself a glance into the mirror before grabbing my bag and heading downstairs. As I entered into the kitchen I saw my mother already seated at the table, along with my younger sister and older sister. "Morning Yui" I said to my youngest sister as I sat at the table, "Morning Y/N" She said giving me a big toothy grin, I turned my gaze to my older sister Yua, as I went to open my mouth to say something she stood up, "May I be excused, I'm going to head out early." My mother gave her a nod and a peck on the cheek, "Be safe dear, see you after school." Yua gave her a small smile before grabbing her back and heading out the door, as I heard the front door shut I let out a sigh. "Is everything okay Y/N?" My mother asked with concerned eyes, I nodded and gave a small chuckle, "Yeah mom, just confused why Yua doesn't talk to me anymore.." I said looking down at my lap, my mother sighed and sat down at the table, "Honey, Yua is 18, she has a boyfriend and friends. She's officially an adult, she'll be going off to college next year." "Yes I understand that, but mom she doesn't even give me a glance in the hallways at school when I see her!"

My mom sighed and gently placed her hand over mine, giving it a reassuring squeeze. I looked up at her face and smiled at her, she returned the gesture and stood up, giving me a hug in the process. As she walked over to Yui she wipped the milk off her top lip, "Yui, why don't you go give sissy a hug before mommy takes you to school." My mom said looking at my younger sister, "Okay mommy" She stood up, giving me a hug, "Love you sissy, see you after school." She gave me yet another toothy grin and walked towards the door. "Oh mom, remember I'm heading to Kagome's after school so I won't be back until later." My mom stood up, "Oh yes I remember, can you tell Ms. Higurashi I said hello." I finished up my food grabbing my bag, "Yes ma'am, see you later mom!" I said waving at her before walking out of the house, I grabbed my bike and started making my way to school. I stopped at a crosswalk as I was sitting there I heard my name being called faintly in the background, I turned my attention to the noise and came face to face with my best friend since primary school, Kagome Higurashi. "Kagome!" I shouted with joy as she sped up her peddling, once she came to a stop next to me I gave her a quick hug before heading across the street.

We talked until we made it to school, "No way! Sota would never do such a thing!" I shouted at disbelief at my best friend, "Well the little twerp did, he even ripped my homework in the process!" I gave her a fake overly dramatic gasp, "No way!" She noticed my stupid acting and chuckled, I soon joined into the chuckling. We put our bikes down and made our way towards the school doors. As we walked into the halls our other friends, Hojo, Eri, Yuka, and Ayumi came rushing up to us, "Kagome, Y/N! God we are so glad to see y'all, let's head to class before our homeroom teacher tries to kill us for a third time!" Eri excalims, all of us chuckling out her. We made our way into homeroom and sat in our seats, in the middle of the lesson I started daydreaming. Once I heard the bell I grabbed my belongings and headed to my next class with Yuka. After the day finally ended, me and Kagome waved at our friends before heading over to her house. Once we finally got there we were greeted by her grandpa doing a weird dance in front of their shrine.
