Step Into The Bad Side: Hanging Tree (part 1)

  So it's now December 18th. Daniel was so happy yesterday but today he's all down.. he wouldn't even sleep over last night. Does my breath stink. I blow into my hand and sniff continuously until my dad walks in.

  "Wake up for school pumpkin.. what the hell are you doing?" He starts to laugh at me and a say curse words in Spanish under my breath and he points at me, "Watch it.. you may be cute but it's a bar of soap in your restroom to clean that dirty mouth of yours!"

  I rolled my eyes as he walked out, "Love you papa." I wonder when mom is going to tell him.. I wonder how she's doing.. uhg I'll stay out of it.

  I call Daniel and he picks up close to the last ring,

"What Maxxine?"

He never talks to me like that.. nor does he say my full name.. "Oh I was just wondering if you're driving me today."

"I'm not.. you'll have to drive yourself. I have family things so I might be late or whatever."

"Oh.. alright well if you need me th-"

I was cut off by a click.. "Love you too." I threw my phone at the bed. Then I picked it up and called Lizzy while getting ready. I explained to her how Daniel was acting and she said maybe I should let it blow over.. and people have their "bad days" I agreed with her and soon hung up.

  I put on a cream sweater with a waisted results skirt and some black stockings. I wore 4 inch red back heels to impress Danny, red rose earrings,  and my black peacoat. I added a cream clutch with it. (A/N picture of the outfit. )

  I make cat eyes on my eyes with a smokey affect eyeshadow. I put on a dark plum red lipstick and I throw my hair into a messy bun. I grab my bad and head down stairs.

  I head for the door with my keys and rush out. I start the engine and drive to school. I park beside Frank, Lizzy,  and Alex. When I get there Frank and Alex hug me and Lizzy kissed my head.

  Frank and Alex looked like they had.. sympathy in their eyes, "What? Why are you guys looking at me like that." Alex shoves his hands in his pockets before speaking,  "How's Dan today?"

  I roll my eyes and walk away, "If you know something,  tell me." Frank grabs my arm, "It's not ours to tell baby girl.. you have to let him tell you."

  I nod my head yes and cuddle up with Alex while walking into the school.

  When it's around 3rd period, Daniel walks in and ignores me.. only me.. he talks to everyone.. but me.

  It's finally lunch and we're all sitting together. I tap his shoulder and he raises a eyebrow and sighs, "What?" I shake my head and look down. Why is he acting like this?

Out of nowhere Debra and Shepherd make their way towards us. She hugs him and ask all of these questions,  "Oh Danny,  are you okay today? I know today is rough for you.. I hope you're okay.. if there's anything you need.. don't be a stranger."

  She gets up to walk away but he pulls her back and places her in his lap and whispers things in her ear. "DANIEL!" I blink the tears away, "What's your problem? Why are you treating me like this?"

  He rolls his eyes,  "You're my problem. You fucking suffocate me and make me spend all of my time with you.. and watch over you.. cause of your fucked up life."

  I feel a lump in the back of my throat and I get up and walk away before I cry. I left my stuff instead of my phone and keys. I leave and drive off to the beach and cry on the rock.. the rock we shared.. I let him in.. he asked to be apart of this.. apart of me.. he.. he said he loved me..

  "Hey!" I look up to see Shepherd.. of all people. "I seen you storm off.. you okay?" I blinked almost a thousand times, "How'd you know I would be here?"

  "Daniel told me that you would be here.. are you okay?" I roll my eyes, "Leave me alone. Just go." He smirks,"It's a public area." I get up and try to walk away but he grabs my wrist,  "You're so pretty Maxxine." He caresses my face as I try to leave his grip.

  I kick him in the balls and he pushes me down. He kicks my side and punches my face 3 times. I struggle to get up but as soon as I do he pushes me back down.

  Luckily a couple comes by but they continue to pass by because he makes it look like we're kissing. I bite his lip and he yelps in pain. "Help me. He's hurting me." As the couple run over he kicks me in my face and runs.. everything slowly goes black.

  Hope you guys liked it. I'll be updating hopefully before next monday.. I'll try. The next chapter might be short but it'll explain why Daniel is being a ass and why this chapter is called "Hanging Tree."
