What is the point of education? I understand why we need it, to learn important skills for our future, but why do we stress so much over grades that will eventually mean nothing?
One day we will all be dead, six feet under. So what is the point of driving your self insane, just so you can get "good" grades.
What are "good" grades?
When I was younger I thought that any letter or number on your exam meant you did well. As long as you didn't get a "U" or "0/10" you did okay, right? But now I am out under an awful lot of pressure to get at least a C. Why?
Everyone is different, we all have different talents and dreams, so why do we all have to take the same tests? Surely by now, the educational board must have figured out that these grades mean more to us than anything else, so why test us all on the same thing.
You are basically setting kids up to fail.
Do you know how much it hurts to tell your parents you failed your test, to see the disappointment on their face. It hurts so fucking much.
WE ARE NOT THE SAME.
SO STOP TREATING US THAT WAY!
