Raindrops,
They are like a million dancing hearts,
Each with a soul and
A love
As they drift and float,
Not slowed
But swift
In unstopping verse they dip and dive
With no way of knowing
How on dear Earth
They will stay
Adrift
Until the day they falter,
Stream to the ground,
And fall with each a shattering sound.
A million tiny hearts
Splash into nothing,
Just like that.
