(Alastor's POV)

"Hey dad? How did you and mum meet?" The tiny toddler asked. His head laying on my darling wife's lap, whilst she softly combed his hair.

"Well I'm glad you asked! I remember it like it was yesterday! Your dear mother here was a shy and timid little thing!" I exclaimed. (Y/n) looked over at me with a little amused smile as I went into a flashback.

(Flashback)

"Oh um, hi my name is (Y/n) (L/n) and I'm here to help with staff? I heard you guys needed the extra help, i-if you don't mind." Her voice getting quieter. Vaggie held her spear at the newcomer's throat while the blue gal explained. Vaggie slowly lowered her spear and glared at the newcomer suspiciously because of her resemblance to ME!

The gal had (h/l) blue hair and very modern clothing. She seemed like the opposite of me, where I was extravagant and extroverted, she was timid and introverted. I studied her closely while she shifted nervously under everyone's gaze.

(Flashback end)

"Wait wait wait! Mum was that shy?! Wowie!" My son said, completely entranced while my (Y/n) softly laughed and booped his nose.

"Well you better believe it mister!" She laughed.

"Oh hush, and let me continue my story!" I exclaimed, feigning annoyance while they stifled their giggles.

(Flashback)

It had been a few months or so when (Y/n) joined, and it had been the best few months of my life. (Y/n) might've been shy, timid, and very sad, but she made up for it when she talked about things she was passionate about. She loved hearing me sing even though she couldn't sing all too well herself, and I in turn loved singing to her when she painted of drew. It was the small things we did together that brought us closer and ultimately led to my heart beating faster at the thought of her and to my realisation of the fact that I fell for this woman and I fell hard.

Although I couldn't say that everything was perfectly fine. (Y/n), I had learned, was quickly falling for someone who she says 'would never love me back'. Though, she never told me who this person was. This heartbreak led her spiralling into a sort of depression which I constantly helped her out of, resulting in more heartbreak for me instead.

Oh how stupid was I.

A few months after, (Y/n) didn't seem to be getting all that better, but not worse, just a limbo in between.

I would constantly tell (Y/n), 'what's the use in feeling blue?' Though, she never replied when I said those words.

One particular night of sorrow and heartbreak later, (Y/n) was deeper into her depression than I wanted her to be.

"Darling, why don't you just tell them? I hate seeing you suffer like this. Anyone would love you! And they're probably a pretty swell demon and if they hurt you in anyway then they have me to answer to so you don't have to worry about the relationship getting abusive, so I see no reason why you shouldn't tell them?" I said, (Y/n) sobbed a bit.

"Because Alastor, you oblivious fool, you won't be able to do anything!" She said, before continuing in almost a whisper.

"You're the one I've loved for all this time..." She said, as my heart skipped.

"(Y/n) darling, you could've just told me. I love you too." I said, as I buried her body into my loving arms and held her tightly in fear that if I let her go, I could never get her back.

(Flashback end)

"Awww, I love you too you red twizzler." My (Y/n) said, as she leaned over to give me a peck on the lips.

"EWWWWWWWW STOP SHARING COOTIES!" My son yelled, jumping out of his mother's lap and off to run away.

"OH NO YOU DON'T GET BACK HERE LITTLE MAN!" (Y/n) and I yelled as we got up to chase after the small child.

Before we went to run after him however I looked at my wife.

"I love you forever darling, there's no use in feeling blue."  ♡
