callie's pov

i sighed and ran a hand through my hair as i read over my homework once more. i still had two pages left that was due by midnight.

"are you almost done, baby?" billie, my girlfriend of a little over two years, asked in a whine.

"not yet, princess." i sighed once more.

she groaned and i glanced back at her to see her rolling around on my bed, throwing a fit. i chuckled to myself as i turned back around and refocused my attention on my homework. my professor would kill me if i didn't finish this.

i grabbed my calculator, typing in a few numbers, smiling triumphantly when i finished the problem. i heard a loud thump and spun around in my chair to see billie now laying on the floor, rubbing her head with a pout on her face.

i stared at her for a moment. "are you okay down there?"

"no. my head really hurts." she frowned.

"i'd imagine so." i laughed.

she frowned and crawled over to me from her spot on the floor. she pointed to her head where she was previously rubbing at it. "kiss it better?" she pouted.

i rolled my eyes but still leaned down and pressed a small, but sweet kiss to where she pointed to, a smile appearing on my face when i saw her smile shyly. "better now, babygirl?"

she nodded her head. "thank you, bubba. i love you."

"you're welcome. i love you too." i smiled, but turned back around in my seat. "now please let me finish this. you're distracting me, baby."

i didn't have to look at her to tell that her smile had been replaced with a frown. she pushed herself off the floor and walked back to the bed.

i continued on my homework, struggling with more problems than i would like to admit to. at one point, billie had left the room to do who knows what. after almost forty minutes, i finished the first page. now just one more.

i heard the door open and i took a quick glance at it, only to turn back. billie stood in the doorway, now standing in one of my t-shirts. one of the sleeves were pulled down slightly, exposing her shoulder. her silver hair was in a messy bun on top of her head. my eyes drifted down her figure, looking at her bare legs for a moment before snapping my attention away. "you okay, princess?"

"no," she frowned. "i want attention."

"so needy." i muttered teasingly.

she walked over to me and sat on my lap, her legs dangling on either side of my waist. she wrapped her arms around my neck. "i want to spend time with you. college is stealing my girlfriend from me." she frowned.

i rested my hands on her thighs, rubbing them slightly. she wasn't entirely wrong. since i started college last fall, we had been spending less time with each other. i didn't like it, but it was a sacrifice i had to make if i wanted to be successful in life.

"you know that's not true." i muttered. "i'll always be your's."

"mine?" she asked.

"your's." i confirmed, pressing my lips to her's.

i pulled away and stared into her ocean eyes that i love oh so much. she looked away, trying to hide her blush that was forming. "stop staring at me."

"but you get so cute and blushy."

she giggled and buried her head into my neck. "which is exactly why i don't like it." she muttered into my neck.

"i love it," i mumbled, pulling her closer to me. "i love how i can still make you blush even after being together for two years."

i moved one of my hands from her thigh, moving it under her shirt to scratch her back like i knew she liked. i felt her relax even more into my touch. "i love every little thing about you, you know that?"

she pressed her lips to my neck sweetly, then nodded.

i continued scratching her back lightly. i felt her eyelashes flutter against my skin lightly, which was a sign that she was falling asleep. i placed my lips to her exposed shoulder.

not even a full two minutes later, i heard billie's light snores. i smiled softly to myself. usually i would get up and lay her down in my bed, then continue my homework (she does this almost every night, not that i mind) but tonight i left her in my lap, moving my hand from out of her shirt. i scooter closer to my laptop, resuming my homework.

an hour later, i had finished my homework, though i had fallen asleep a few times while trying to do so. i clicked the button that read "turn in assignment" sighing in relief after i did.

too tired to get up, i wrapped my arms around a still sleeping billie, and found myself falling asleep quickly.
