marley's pov

i sighed as i took another sip of my beer. just like every other weekend, i had let my best friend, heather, convince me to come to a party. it's not that i didn't like parties, it's just that she ends up running off every time.

i looked around the room, boredom setting in. i pulled out my phone and checked the time. it was 10:24 pm.

i looked around the room. there was a lot of people here, but one girl in particular caught my attention. she had vibrant blue hair. i watched as she threw her head back laughing, grabbing the crotch of her joggers to readjust them.

one thing about me is that i was never scared to make a move on someone and this girl would be no exception.

i felt the couch i was sitting in dip and i turned to look at who sat down. it was guy who appeared to be in his early twenties, maybe the same age as me.

"hi." he greeted. "i'm tucker."

"i'm marley." i introduced myself.

"so what's a pretty girl like you doing sitting alone?" he asked.

"i'm like... really gay, dude." i said as politely as i could.

i turned back around, disappointment setting in as i saw that the blue haired beauty was no longer standing there.

this is why i hate boys.

okay, this is isn't why i hate boys, but if this guy hadn't tried hitting on me, then i would be talking to the mystery girl by now.

i turned back to tucker. "like... you're gay gay or just like... bi?" he asked.

this bitch-

"i like pussy and pussy only." i grumbled as i stood up and walked away, pushing a hand through my hair, annoyed.

"marley! there you are!" i heard heather slur as she threw herself onto me.

"drunk already?" i chuckled, grabbing her arms to keep her steady.

"no, never that." she shook her head. "i don't... i don't drink alcohol."

"right."

she looked at me and furrowed her eyebrows, giving me the best "mean" look she could muster. "i don't!"

"sure you don't." i smirked.

my eyes tore away from her for a moment, catching a glimpse of blue hair. i tried to see where she went, but heather repeatedly tugging on my shirt pulled my eyes back to her.

"marley," she dragged out. "let's play beer pong!"

i shook my head.

she tugged at my shirt again. "please."

i looked around the room again and let out a defeated sigh when i didn't see the girl anywhere. "one game."
