Valentine's Special

Komaeda had gotten up, not knowing what day it was. He got dressed and ate breakfast, when suddenly, he heard a knock at his door. "Coming!" he said, and opened the front door.

"Happy Valentine's day, Nagito!" Hinata chirped. Komaeda looked at the boquete of flowers and chocolates Hinata had in his arms. "F-For me..?" Komaeda questioned. Hinata smiled and nodded, to which Komaeda pulled him into a deep but sweet kiss.

Komaeda took the things from Hinata's hands and set them down on the counter. "Hey, wanna go somewhere? Like a date!" Komaeda says, excitement fills his voice. Hinata nods, and Komaeda drags him to the place where they met.

When they entered, Hinata looked around; he hadn't seen this place in a while. Hinata's thoughts were interrupted by Tsumiki. "H-Hello! Welcome- O-Oh, Komaeda!" She gave him a big bear hug. Hinata would be lying if he didn't say he was a bit jealous.

"Oh, K-Komaeda, is this your b-b-boyfriend..?" Tsumiki inquiried. "Yes! Meet Hajime! He goes by Hinata, though. Only I'm allowed to call him Hajime!" Komaeda says proudly, in a sort of superhero stance. Tsumiki laughs awkwardly, then leads them to a table.

"What would you guys like to have?" She asks. "Hmm.. I'll have a Carmel Frappe, please." Komaeda says. "I'll have orange juice." Hinata glared at Tsumiki, envy filled his eyes. She nervously laughs, then stumbles around, getting their drinks prepared.

Hinata's drink was pretty easy, just OJ. A new waitress, Saionji, came out and handed the two boys their drinks. "Komaeda's got a boyfriend!~" Saionji teased. Komaeda blushes and looks over at Hinata, who gives him a nervous smile.

They talk, well, more of Hinata explaining, Valentine's Day. Komaeda had a rough childhood, barely making it alive through a day before inheriting his parent's money. He didn't know many holidays, so he thought February 14th was just any other day.

Hinata began to explain that Valentine's Day is a day to express love towards a person, whether it platonic or romantic. In Komaeda and Hinata's case, it's romantically.

"I-I'm sorry I didn't get you anything!" Komaeda blurted out, biting his lip. Hinata smiled reassuringly, and said, "No need to panic, after all, you didn't know what it was!" Komaeda looked away in embarrassment.

"Hey, I think there's a firework show at 4:00, wanna go there?" Hinata asks. Komaeda nods, he agrees to anything Hinata says.

When they got there, they were given popcorn and pocky. They took a seat on the grass and he waited for the fireworks. "I don't expect them to come anytime soon. It is day, after all." Komaeda thought out loud.

"Well, you never know." Hinata turned to Komaeda and smiled, then kissed him on the cheek. Komaeda's face flushed, and he gave an awkward smile.

Then, some fireworks started to go up into the air. Komaeda and Hinata watched, hand in hand. "You know, Valentine's Day really is a special day, huh?" Komaeda whispered. Hinata just nodded.
