When Lizzie woke up she expected to see Landon. He wasn't there and her sisters bed was made and the mirror she had broken the night before was gone. She smiles at her self as she pushes the covers off of her long legs. She walked to her dresser, picking out an outfit for the day and started to get dressed.
"So, I didn't know what you wanted for breakfast- Oh, shit, I am so sorry." Landon quickly turns on his heels, shutting the door behind him he let out a breath, he didn't want her to think he saw anything, but he did. 'I should have knocked.' Lizzie chuckles to herself, pulling her shorts up and the shirt over her head she walked to the door, opening it and there Landon stood, with a plate of eggs and bacon. "I didn't see anything."
"Lighten up, Kirby." Lizzie says, holding her hand out for the plate of food. Landon's face was glowing pink with embarrassment, why was he having this feeling? This girl has been nothing but mean to him since he showed up to the school. "Thanks for the food."
"Yeah, no problem." He gave her a sweet smile, 'maybe we can be friends?' He was hopeful, he didn't want to think she just hated him. He stood in her door way, waiting for her to say something else.
"Are you doing anything today?" Lizzie asks, taking a bite out of the eggs, watching Landon walk into her room and close the door behind him, he shrugs his shoulders.
"I'm going to be going to the Old Mill, to meet Raf. And cook him steak." Landon says, and Lizzie almost smirks, little did he know, Lizzie was an expert with the grill. It was something she picked up from her dad, she can't bake, nor can she cook, but give her a slab of meat and it will be grilled to perfection.
"Do you mind if I tag along?" The blonde girl asks, she didn't want to have another episode like last night, she wanted to be in the company of someone else, and she had to admit, Landon Kirby was not bad company. "I know how to grill."
"I don't mind, i was starting to set up this like outdoor movie thing. I was thinking old school movies?" Landon smiles, Lizzie started feeling different.
"Only if clueless is one of the options, mophead." Lizzie had as smirk on her face. The boy couldn't help but chuckle at her choice. He knew it would make sense that she'd like that movie. It's a classic.

"Hey, Kirby." She walks up the steps of the old mill, her arms crossed as she leans against one of the pillars. Landon had started the grill and began cooking. She was watching him toss the food to the side."Hey." He looks up at her. He had a few more pieces of meat to cook, to make sure Raf was being fed. He didn't want him to hear stories of a rouge wolf killing people. "How have you been?" He asks, trying not to make it anymore awkward.
There was a silence that had fallen over them. He really didn't know if she was going to show. When he first got here Lizzie was mean to him. She had began to get better, then her sister and father left. So, she was alone. Raf was a wolf, and Landon had no one.
"That smells good." Lizzie says, trying to start a conversation with him as her put the tongs and cookie sheet next to the grill. landon nodded at her to come over.
"you said you could grill." he smiles and she just chuckles, rolling her eyes before lifting up the grill, the meat sizzling over the fire. she couldn't help but look up at him as he turns his back to her, watching raf devour the meat that was on the floor. seeing landon so vulnerable and caring, sparked a feeling she hadn't felt for anyone before. she flips the three steaks that were remaining on the grill and closed the top to let them finish cooking.
"i'm sorry." she says, a sigh passing her lips as he looks at her, elizabeth saltzman, apologizing.. to him? this was new.. landon had never seen lizzie as anything more than a bully.. with her name calling and teasing, he had always thought she hated him, but now? he wanted nothing more than for her to like him.
"don't be, whenever we figure out how to turn him back, everything will be fine." he guided her outside to his little set up that was playing clueless, her favorite classic movie. "it took me a while to find it."
"yeah, i had it kinda hidden so no one would mess it up." she says, making him laugh slightly before they both take a seat in the lawn chairs set up right in front of the hanging sheet. this was nice, having someone to hang out with other than josie, someone who actually enjoys her presence.
"do you maybe, want to leave campus tonight? get some dinner?" landon asks, looking over at her as the credits roll. lizzie raises her eyebrow and smirks.
"frodo, are you asking me out on a date?"
