I have had enough of Ron's attitude. Crookshanks is a cat for pete's sake! Cats eat rats all the time! Besides, Hermione is so busy how is she supposed to know exactly where her cat is at all hours of the day? Hell, maybe Scabbers is the one that got away first. Ron has no proof that Crookshanks ate Scabbers. It's clear as day that Harry is siding with Ron. That means, I make it perfectly clear that I'm siding with Hermione. At first I don't think Harry is stupid enough to talk to Hermione about what he thinks on the matter, but I'm proven wrong when Harry points it out. "Okay, side with Ron, I knew you would! First the Firebolt, now Scabbers, everything's my fault, isn't it! Just leave me alone, Harry, I've got a lot of work to do." It also doesn't make me happy that Harry is trying to cheer Ron up, but not Hermione.

I still haven't talked to Harry again by the time our final Quidditch match has rolled around. After what seems like a lifetime of Hooch admiring the firebolt, we finally start practice. He experiences the same euphoria that I did when I first rode my Firebolt. The ease of turning, how it seems to obey your thoughts instead of grip. It seems that with two Firebolts on the team, we'll do better than ever. Harry is able to outstrip the bludgers, weave in and out of everyone else and still catch the Snitch in ten seconds. I kind of wish the other chasers would have faster brooms as well. I'm not able to use my brooms full potential with such a speed difference. Wood orders us to turn in early, but Harry stays out with Ron so Ron can ride his broom. I barely give Ron a second glance as I follow the team to bed.

I'm the last to get to breakfast the next day (doing my hair in a Dutch braid updo took the longest). By the time I get to the table, students from other houses are admiring the broom, including Malfoy. I arrive just in time to tell him off. "Got plenty of features, hasn't it?" Malfoy says. "Shame it doesn't come with a parachute - in case you get too near a dementor." "Pity you can't attach an extra arm to yours, Malfoy. Then it could catch the Snitch for you." Malfoy turns around and I smirk while the rest of the team laughs.

By the time we walk onto the pitch, the Ravenclaw team is already there. "Wood, Davies, shake hands," Hooch says and Wood shakes hands with the Ravenclaw captain. "Mount your brooms... on my whistle... three - two - one -" We all kick off into the air, Harry and I zoom farthest into the air first. I immediately grab the Quaffle and race off to the Ravenclaw end of the pitch. I weave in and out of all the other players, demonstrating the skill of more than just Harry's firebolt as I turn around in circles in the air and before the Ravenclaw keeper has a chance to see what hit him, I score the first goal, and the Gryffindors go wild.

Angelina catches the Quaffle and is able to score again and before I can process what's happening, we're leading 80 - 0. I'm able to intercept the Quaffle when a Ravenclaw chaster tries to pass it and I race off to the other end of the pitch, and I score again. I'm tailing a Ravenclaw chaster when I see Cho pointing to the ground, and it makes me look down. I see three tall, black, hooded things that look like dementors. If I look closely, though, I can tell that they're not dementors at all. The color is wrong, and the movements aren't right either, and they don't look to be floating. I also don't feel like I'm going to pass out. Harry, however, doesn't seem to realize this and I see him cast a patronus. Just as I turn back to follow the chasers, I hear Hooch's whistle.

The other members of the team fly as fast as their brooms will allow to Harry. I fly to him as well, just not as fast. I still haven't gotten over my grudge. "Yes!" I hear Ron yell. "Yes! Yes!" "Well done, Harry!" I hear Percy say. "Ten Galleons to me! Must find Penelope, excuse me-" "Good for you, Harry!" roars Seamus Finnigan. "That was quite some Patronus," I hear a voice say. Harry and I both turn around and see Lupin standing there, looking pleased. 'The dementors didn't affect me at all! I didn't feel a thing!" "That would be because they - er - weren't dementors," says Professor Lupin. "Come and see -" I follow Harry and Lupin to the edge of the field.
