“Waaaake up!”

“… How do you keep getting in here?”

Inosuke glared up at Tanjiro, who had once again succeeded in breaking into his apartment and was currently straddling him.

“You don’t lock the doors??”

“Because that’s what cowards do. Now can you please get off me.”

Tanjiro smiled, swinging back and forth. “Nooooo~”

Inosuke narrowed his eyes. He grabbed Tanjiro by the waist before practically throwing him down onto the bed.

“Ouch!”

Inosuke turned to face him. “What are you even doing here? We don’t have any early morning training or whatever.”

Tanjiro smiled. “Yes, well, can’t I just check on my partner for the fun of it?”

“Not at FOUR AM!”

Tanjiro laughed.

“Okay. I’ll tell you why I’m really here, but promise not to laugh?”

Inosuke raised a brow. “I don’t make promises I can’t keep.”

Tanjiro rolled his eyes as he sat up. “I’ve been pretty lonely.”

Inosuke’s eyes widened slightly. “Lonely?”

Tanjiro nodded. “Yeah… Nezuko is still in rehabilitation, so it’s just been me for a while now. I miss having company,” he said, smiling sadly.

Inosuke sat up. Tanjiro’s sister had been the first demon to be successfully turned back into a human, but she wasn’t back to being a hundred percent normal. She’d been gone for nearly two months, so it was natural Tanjiro would get lonely.

“… You can come over whenever.”

Tanjiro looked over in shock. “Eh?”

Inosuke huffed. “You can come over whenever you like. Just not before ten in the morning.”

Tanjiro smiled.

“I know you’re probably going to ignore that last part.”

“Yep!”
