Chapter 10: Unexpected

Eddie POV:
After last night I woke up and Richie wasn't beside me. I got up and went to the look around but he wasn't here. I went into my dads room and saw both of them were talking.

"What's going on?"

"We were just talking." His father said.

"About?"

"Nothing." Richie grinned and walked past him. "Look Ed's I'm gonna go hang with Bill and Stan today."

"And I'm not invited?"

"Nope!" Richie laughed.

"I just thought after last night.."

"Oh...Ed's look I'm sorry I tried to.."

"Tried to..?"

"I Uhm.."

"Hey if you're scared to talk to me about something else...I won't pressure you."

He nodded, "I'll tell you later alright?"

"Promise Rich?"

He smiled, "promise."

"You wanna go for a quick skate before you go?"

Richie smiled, "Sure."

"Dad I'll be right back!" He yelled and they left. left.

"I'm glad I have a skating buddy." Richie chuckled.

"Yeah."

"Ed's, whatever I told you last night..it stays between us right?"

"Of course idiot." He grinned, skating faster.

"Thanks for letting me stay."

Eddie smiled and they continued skating. His mind was stuck on last night, and he couldn't get it out of his head. Did Richie really try to kiss him? Or was he being naive?

"There's this boy." Richie blurted out.

Eddie chuckled, "This boy?"

"Yeah, he is so..amazing, you could say. And funny, and just a complete idiot but he makes me feel so special. I think you'd like him Ed's."

Eddie looked down, and grinned. Even though his heart hurt a bit, "does he make you happy..?"

Richie looked at him, he heard pain in his voice but wondered why. He thought it was nothing. "The happiest."

He sighed, felt his body shake. "Well whoever he is, he sure is one special guy.."

Richie smiled and stopped his board, "thanks spaghetti." They started walking back.

"You think he likes you?"

"I'm not sure, probably not."

"He should."

Richie chuckled and wrapped his arm around him, "What bout you? I know there's someone."

"I don't wanna talk about it.."

"Why not?"

"Because..he-

"I am pretty sure he would like you, I mean who couldn't?" He chuckled looking him in his eyes.

Eddie looked down, "Yeah..." A tear rolled down his cheek.

"Hey.." He stopped him, and leant down to his height.

"He's stupid if he doesn't like you."

Eddie smiled, "thanks Richie."

He pat his face, "Cmon let's go back."
