Chapter 11: Confessions

"Rich, where's Eddie?"

He looked down, "I..I couldn't find him.."

"Well what happened?"

"I don't know.." he lied.

All of a sudden Eddie walked in, everyone staring at him. He swallowed the lump in his throat and walked in the bathroom. He sighed looking at his red eyes and warm cheeks, and wiped water across his face then went to his room. He breathed in and out slowly, trying to breath easier. But his throat choked up, and he felt himself crying again.

The door opened and closed, someone sat next to him. They rubbed his back and held him close, "Eddie..." Bill moved the hair from his face. He took a look at him and hugged him gently.

"I can't B-Bill..I just can't right now.." He cried harder, but tried not to.

He rubbed his back, "You d-don't have to t-tell m-me whats g-going on, b-but I'm here for y-you.."

Eddie smiled sadly, Bill was always one of his favourite people to talk to. He knew he could go to him for everything, if he couldn't talk to Bev. He loved that Bill was such a caring and genuine person, not many people see that.

"I-it's just R-Richie..." Is all Eddie got out.

He held him tighter, and someone else came in the room. "I'll take care of this, you can go back." Beverly said, and he left.

"I-I told him Bev.." he sobbed

Bev held him, her voice cracking up, "I-I'm guessing it didn't go good..?"

"What do you think?!" He bit his lip, looking at his feet. "Can we just go play a game..and talk later?" He sighed.

"Okay...just come here." She hugged him again.

He wiped the tears off his face and slipped on one of Richie's hoodies, by accident. The smell just cured him so he forgot all about the fact it was his.

They walked back in the room, Eddie kept his eyes away from Richie.

"Yes Stan, lets play."

"Alright guys wanna play truth or dare?" Bev laughed.

"Of c-course it's truth or d-dare." Bill said.

She chuckled, "so everyone in?"

"Yeah."

"Okay I'll go first, Ed's truth or dare?"

"Dare."

Everyone looked surprised.

"I dare you to try this." She pulled out a vape from her pocket. Dangling it, with a smirk on her face.

"W-what no! Do you want me to die?! I mean you're inhaling toxins into your lungs!! Are you crazy???!"

"Cmon just once! Unless you wanna be a chicken for the rest of your life!! But you know, no pressure." She chuckled.

"Chicken!!" Mike laughed.

"Guys cmon you can't force him." Richie said.

"Okay fine! Just ONE time." It shouldn't hurt.

Richie looked up at him in surprise, as Eddie took the vape from her hand. His hands shaking, as he put it up to his mouth. He took a whirl of it, then blew the smoke out, not even coughing. And honesty it wasn't that bad. It made him feel better almost.
