"we're home!" my body instantly flinched and struggled to open up my door and went to dad. "oh, sweetie? you seem in a hurry." dad said, and i nodded frantically. "open this up dad. please, please.. " i know i sounded desperate, because well, yeah, i am desperate. he eyed me weirdly before taking the camera from my grip. "a camera? as far as i remember i didn't give you a camera nor asked for a camera as a gif—"
"JUST OPEN IT DAD!!!!!!" he was obviously startled, and his eyes were wide open. "okay? don't be angry... atleast?" i sheepishly smiled and mumbled sorry before proceeding back to my room. i opened up our chatroom and went online.
SEXYDYNAMITE: yo yo yo!!!!!
MONKEYLISA: wowowow, what's up soo?
JICKENSOO: you seem very happy huh
SEXYDYNAMITE: guess what!? i managed to solve the first clue. it was the camera that yerim gave me you know? our mini getaway, yeah? i just need to break it for the next clue.
JICKENSOO: oh, lord. how did you know?
MONKEYLISA: long story short, she is a braniac.
SEXYDYNAMITE: stfu. i just had some research and then ta-da!!!!
JICKENSOO: i'll call.
MONKEYLISA: yes, yes. me too!
i went offline and checked my phone for an upcoming call. jisoo's contact name flashed on the screen of my phone and i picked it up. "girl, now that you know the first clue, what's your plan?" jisoo asked. "is there something in the camera?" lisa chimed in and she sounded like she's munching some food. "okay, so i don't know how to open up the camera formally, and i think it has something on it. dad's currently working at it now." i explained in one breath. "hmm, if so, i don't want any silly clues again, i want it straight to the point." jisoo pouted. "yeah, i don't like to think that much, i might die because of brain over use." lisa's voice muffled, bet she was eating garlic bread. "does that word even exist?" without seeing their faces, i know jisoo just rolled her eyes. "shuuuut up, i have my own words." i shook my head, i don't want to hear them bickering again. i hung up and leaned backward. "shit, wherever you are yerim, i hope you are safe and resting well, you stupid bitch." i murmured and glanced at the clock, it's almost 12AM. good thing, we'll have a shortened period tomorrow, meaning, we don't have classes in the afternoon. "sooyoung?" dad knocked on my door and i quickly opened. "here's it." he gave me the camera and kissed my forehead before saying goodnight. i did the same and placed the thing on my study table. i put on my glasses and started to analyze what's hidden in here, then i noticed a small paper. i pulled it out and there was a written address. the address was familiar to me, but i couldn't pinpoint, so i went to google maps. i found out that it wasn't far from seoul, it's like more or less a 30 minute ride depending on the traffic from our home. so, yerim wanted to gave me an adventure? cool. i wonder what more does yerim have on her sleeves.

the last period ended and the three of us went to a nearby fastfood chain to spend our lunch. "so, you're saying that yerim wants you go into that place?" jisoo sipped on her glass while looking at me. "yeah, and this," i pointed to the letters written. "this is where the next clue lies." she nodded slowly and picked her chopsticks. "so, when are we going there?" lisa asked as she reached for the tissue. "today." they chocked on their own food and i just rolled my eyes. "what? today? like, today!?" lisa looked at me with wide eyes. "you're kidding me, right?" i just shook my head on jisoo. "so, be fast and we're going out for a trip." i smirked at their surprised faces.
we hopped onto lisa's car, jisoo insisted to drive. as we went on the trip, i noticed that the place became peaceful each time we pass by. it's far away from the city, and it's located in an urban place. we passed a lot of open fields, as the air touches my face made me appreciate nature more. the tall trees danced to the rythm of the air, the butterflies and bees communicating with each other. the sky was cloudless and there were flock of birds scattering, and the ocean sky was relaxing. it was an aesthetic and beautiful view.
jisoo pulled over into an empty house, it wasn't small, nor big, it's enough for a family consisting 7 members to fit in. "this is it?" lisa asked as she jumped down the vehicle. "yeah, the direction of the apps came into halt, so we're basically here." jisoo explained as she squinted her eyes. "i assume that yerim came to stay here." i said and they nodded, "we have the same thoughts."
the front door wasn't locked, the house was painted in white and you can easily determine that it was abandoned for years already, as there were holes and paints peeling off the wall. the door creaked open because of the windy air. "flashlights everyone. let's get inside." jisoo led the way inside, and i'd be lying if i didn't got scared as the door closed forcefully and created a loud bang. the house was black, and only the flashlights were the sources of light. the windows were blocked and were replaced with wood. there were also dried leaves on the floor. every step we make creates a creaking sound just like in a horror movie. "shit." lisa cursed as her light lands on rats. "this place is basically ew. i can't believe kim yerim actually stayed here." jisoo shushed lisa and we went to the second floor. there were dust coating the staircase, and cockroaches running around. it was a nice house, but because no one maintained to tidy the things inside, it's beauty is almost gone. "hey guys, check this out." lisa said and jisoo and i went to her direction. i pushed my glasses to my nose bridge as i tried to read the letters that were spray painted.
"kim yerim, her wonderful getaway." it was written inside a star just like in the hollywood. below it says "i'm the actress of my own story" and i tried to understand it, but i just gave up and went on the other way. there was nothing, no hidden clues as well, other than the spray painted words. the house was empty as well. i went inside a room, and found a can of cola. i got a hold of it and some liquid dripped. it was recently opened, the can never lies and the surface of it makes a circle of water, adding to the evidence that it was recently consumed. "guys? i think we gotta go, since we didn't find any clues too. tomorrow's prom night, i have to check on my outfit." jisoo's voice echoed through the halls. "let's head home sooyoung before our parents consider us missing." lisa offered me a hand, i was still staring at the empty can, i wanted to tell them, but they don't seem interested about it, so i went outside and hopped inside the car.
the two of them were busy discussing about prom night and countlessly convincing me to attend. i don't care about anything right now, i just want to find the clues. jisoo dropped me off so i lazily went inside, straight to my bed. it's foolish why i invited them to come, when in fact, they aren't interested as me, so maybe i could find the clues by myself and find her alone. selfish, you say, but that's what i'm planning. they can enjoy prom and i wouldn't bother them about my mission, because they really don't care about it honestly. so yeah, i'll find yerim alone, and we will both head home hand in hand together.
