Once I got home I headed straight to my room. As I looked at the piece of broken paper I was given earlier that night I couldn't help but wonder," What is going on here?" I typed the number into my contacts and listed it as 'Becky' so no one would notice. I guess that's the perk of being known as the popular guy's girlfriend. No one questions who you know cause they assume you know everyone. Suddenly, I heard the door knocking downstairs. I kept the piece of paper in my pocket so it didn't leave my sight. I walked downstairs to grab the door. I hesistated to grab the door knob....what if it was Tyler? Or worse...that ladie's voice. know that I think about it that voice sounded familiar.
The vision came back in a flash.
The ashes were everywhere along with the fire eating everything like a 5 star buffet. It made the pompeii eruption look like a science volcanoe project. I could only sit there beside the tree far away from the firey doom that laid before me. The ladie's voice spoke "I told you to join me...why do you always make it difficult...Join us Eve-"
I woke up from the vision, my nails gripping into my hands so hard that once I released them there was already blood marks from where they have dived in. I looked around to see Tyler was holding my shoulders," I'm not letting you go this time. I'm here." " You never letted me go...I was the one who ran..." I said. Tyler looked at me with concern," I'm spending the night tonight. You go sit over at the couch and I'll grab you a blanket. I'll also make you some tea." I didn't argue as Tyler scooped me up bridal style and carried me over to the couch. I couldn't help but notice his eyes. Just his brown eyes were enough to warm up my heart. It reminded me of wood that belonged in a fire place. Once he placed me on the couch, he walked off to grab the blanket. I would've been ecstatic for this one on one time if it wasn't for the events that happened earlier tonight.
Soon, Tyler came back witha blanket but left once more to start the tea. Once the kettle was placed, he ran back, like a kid worrying over his mommy, over to me. I couldn't help but give a small sad smile," So...the party was pretty hectic huh?" Tyler brushed his hair up," Yeah but you left before things got really bad. I'm sorry you got dragged into that party by Pately...I swear if I could get rid of her-" "No! I enjoy Pately. She's just...bubbly." Tyler nodded, clearly trying to change topics," But earlier, I tried knocking on the door to make sure you were alright...It caught me off guard to see you on your knees like you saw a ghost. I-I don't like seeing you like that. Especially when I can't do anything!" Tyler yelled in frustration. It's confusing...is he my enemy or an ally? He cares but what was that about back in the forest? "Tyler...where were you? I was looking for you at the party and when i did notice you you walked off like you were mad at me?" Tyler hesistated. The kettle chimed in," Saved by the kettle." I joked as Tyler walked off to turn off the kettle.
Couple minutes later and he came back with two cups of apple cider tea," First off, not funny." Tyler said as he pointed his finger at me while picking up his cup," Second...I love you. Whether I want to lie or not I can't deny what you gave me is love...but one thing I learned is that love is a dangerous thing. I've done some bad things-" "Is that why you were in the woods with that stranger?!" Tyler got taken aback," You followed me?" "How could I not? I wanted to talk to you but you walked off!" Tyler shushed me as he started to whisper," Quiet...how much did you see?" I shrugged," I saw you but not the person...It was pretty dark and you two were arguing." Tyler pushed his hand through his hair," Shit! Okay...she doesn't know cause we both didn't notice you. Lily...you have to go." "Go? Where?" "Far from freaking here. If that she demon finds out you know you're doom. Go upstairs and pack your stuff. If anyone asks say we're going camping. Just the two of us." "But why? I don't know that much. I can just act like nothing happened." Tyler's hands stopped as he looked over to me," In under no circumstances am I letting you take chances. That's my job. You'll get answers tomorrow. But for tonight, pack your stuff and tommorrow morning we're leaving. No ifs, ands, or buts!"
