After a horrible hectic time at the mall, I was relieved to be inside my house. "Martha! I'm home!" I yelled. As always, nothing happened. I headed upstairs and dropped off my jacket and shopping bags. I walked into my kitchen, where the smell of apples filled the air. I couldn't help but remember the times when Tyler and I were eating sliced apples.
I scrunched up my nose once I took a bite out of the green sour apple. Tyler laughed," What? You don't like apples?" I shook my head," I like apples... don't like... green apples." I looked back down at the table. Just the thought of the tart taste was enough for me to get 3 glasses of honey to drown out. Tyler watched me for a few seconds before getting up and heading towards the cabinet. I could only see Tyler's back for a few seconds until he came back with a jar filled with brown stuff," This is peanut butter. It goes great with green apples." I watched in silence as Tyler grabbed another green apple from the wooden basket and started slicing them. Using the same knife, he put some peanut butter on the apples and placed the sliced peanut butter covered apples in front of me," Now give them a try." I took a bite from the apple. It was much more good than without the peanut butter. I ate the whole thing. Tyler smiled," Told you it goes great with green apples!"
Back then, it took me a while to even speak a full sentence. Even so, Tyler didn't care and he loved me just as much then as he does now. I kept replaying the memory of me walking out on Tyler earlier today. I walked towards my island countertop, deciding whether or not to have pizza or lasagna. I decided to go with neither, but instead a green apple and some peanut butter. As I munch on my apple peanut butter dipped slices, I thought of a way to apologize to Tyler. I already figured I won't see Tyler until the party tomorrow night, so I placed my shopping bags in my closet and got ready for tomorrow.
