CHAPTER SIX | YOU

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━★

"it feels weird."

felix looked up at chan. "what does?"

"walking into a shop and not taking anything," bangchan whispered. "it's been a few weeks since i've done anything deviant. i actually feel uncomfortable."

chan has stayed with felix, jisung and minho for approximately three weeks now and he was feeling at ease which was odd for chan.

he was no longer on the run and he was no longer having to act wearily in public. like he was being watched.

he suddenly changed in a span of three weeks thanks to felix.

"are you going to start taking things again?" felix whispered back nervously. "you've done pretty well recently. if you are i'm not going to judge you or report you.

"why?" chan asked.

felix shrugged. "i guess i like you. i really consider you as a friend now."

bangchan thought for a moment. he watched felix as he went through a rack of shirts under the clearance sign.

it was evident that felix had very little money. chan already knew just by hearing him, minho and jisung argue everyday about money but now chan could see with his very eyes.

hd watched the younger boy with a fond smile.

"to be honest..." he said. "i don't think i will. that's what caused me to be thrown on the streets anyway."

felix turned away from the shirts. "you never really told me how you ended up being on the streets."

"i was living with my best friend and his younger brother. my friend kicked me out because i didn't put a stop to my life of crime. it was putting their lives at risk"

"why? why couldn't you just put a stop to it?"

chan let out an airy sigh. "because...crime makes me feel somewhat...whole. it fills the emptiness in my heart that was left by...by my parents, my friends, everything. no one loved me other than my friends but even they don't want to talk to me anymore."

felix suddenly pulled chan in for a hug which startled the older man.

"please don't do crime anymore, chan. it won't make you feel any better. please."

"i'll stop," chan mumbled. "i think i might have found that better thing to fill my heart with. like what my friend suggested."

felix looked up at chan's face a smile twitching at his lips. "and what did he suggest?"

"love. i found love in you felix. you're an amazing friend. you stuck by me regardless of eveything and i thank you for that."

felix's heart started to race like he had ran a marathon and his freckled cheeks went red. even though chan only meant it as a friend felix still couldn't help but feel a bit hopeful.

"love is better than committing crime," felix said.

bangchan smiled. "yeah, it is."

changbin walked into a store with the initiative to just get one thing and go.

hyunjin was 'sick' and changbin had no choice but to buy him medication to shut him up.

all he did the entire day was whine and complain about him having a headache while he, changbin and seungmin were coming up with ideas on how to really finish chan last and for all.

he walked through the busy store pushing past people in his way and shoving clothing racks.

he was angry that his crucial planning time was going to waste all for pain killers.

he was sure hyunjin didn't even have a headache anymore.

changbin spotted two men hugging eachother. he was tempted to barge right through them till he recognised one of the men.

"now, isn't that the freckled boy who walked into me the other day?" changbin furrowed his eyebrows.

changbin peered at the boy that the freckled boy was hugging. his mouth fell open in shock when he recognised who it was.

"christopher bang ," changbin smiled. "christopher fucking bang. what a pleasant surprise."

changbin took his phone out of his pocket. he scrolled through his contacts and stopped at hyunjin's name.

he rang the sick boy and waited patiently for the call to get through.

hyunjin let out an sigh. "couldn't find the pain killers?"

changbin rolled his eyes. "that's not why i was calling. i've finally figured out what to take from chan to make him regret ever crossing me."

"and what's that?"

"a boy."

"a boy?"

changbin smirked. "yeah, a boy. i think chan has found himself a little boyfriend. how do you think he'd feel if i took him away from him."

"um, i don't know. heart broken i guess."

"exactly! when i'm done we're going to discuss the plan with the other members. i want you to help me get the boy."

"changbin!" hyunjin whined. "i don't feel well. can't you just get seungmin to get him? or can't we just do this some other--"

"no!" changbin yelled. "we need to do this quickly."

hyunjin sighed. "fine, whatever. so did you find my medication then?"

"i'm in the process of looking for it." changbin's eyes tore away from chan and felix and looked for the medication section.

felix chucked the left over take away in the bin before he tied the bag.

he grabbed the bin bag and made his way to the front door. with a sigh, he unlocked the door and went outside to take the trash out.

he was sure could hear the sound of leaves crunching. he turned around only to be faced to face with a masked person.

"what--"

before felix could even finish his sentence, his head was smashed by the bat.

his body dropped down to the floor and he was out cold.

the masked man put a bag over felix's head. he then dragged the blonde boy towards his van and threw him in the back.

the man's phone started to ring so he quickly answered it.

"yes, changbin?"

"did you do it, seungmin?" changbin asked.

"yeah, i did it."

"good. i wasn't expecting you to go through with it but i'm glad. hyunjin was being a little bitch about going since he has a headache and all."

"i'll bring the boy to you, changbin."

seungmin ended the call and put his phone away. he closed the back doors to his van before getting into the drivers seat.

"well wasn't that easy than i expected," seungmin mumbled. "i guess kidnapping people is just as easy as it's shown in the movies."

seungmin glanced at the home of the boy he just kidnapped. he quickly started the van and drove away before he started to feel guilty.

guilt was the last thing he needed right now.

in the world he lived in, you couldn't survive with a guilty conscious.
