"Sting! That was my third sushi roll!"
"And I need more than that, I'm still hungry."
"Baka..." I hissed, then looked down an my container that only had two sushi rolls left. I preferred bringing home food rather than buying at the school, and it was also fun and easy to make, especially sushi.
We were sitting under a large pink sakura tree in the private school garden, rather than the noisy cafe. Sting finished chomping on his sushi (with bits and pieces furiously flying everywhere) and opened his mouth wide, ready to be fed like a three-year-old.
'Kawaii...'So I threw in the sushi in his mouth and giggled. Sure, he had the badboy look making nearly every girl swoon for him, but he also had his hidden childish, playful side of him. I fed him my last sushi roll then I realized that I hadn't eaten anything! My stomach rumbled loudly at the thought, and I turned into a human tomato.
'Stupid, stupid Lucy...'I expected Sting to laugh out loud or tease me about it, but instead he took out his designer wallet from his back pocket with a skull design on it and fished out some jewels.
"What do you want to eat? I'll buy from the cafe." He seemed worried for some reason. I shook my head indicating I didn't need any, but he didn't buy it so well. "Lucy, you need to eat at least something! I've been an idiot to not stop and think you needed to eat those sushi!" He groaned.
'Aw, that's so kind of him...'"Okay then, whatever you say. A melon bun would be nice. And thanks!" I smiled genuinely. I didn't want to ask for such pricey food even though I knew Sting could afford to treat me to a decent meal, but Note to Self: I am the heiress, I should be treating myself! But I didn't bring jewels with me today... Whoops.
"Okay sure. I'll be right back." He saluted cheekily then rushed off to the cafe, earning loud squeals from fangirls along the way. I still haven't figured out about the whole 'princes' thing going around. I craned my neck and saw a boy reading from the sakura tree opposite me. He had a pen stuck at the edge of his lips, like he was trying real hard to think. Without thinking twice, I called out loudly, waving my hands like a mad lady. "Hey!" The boy got a tad too startled and dropped his book to the grass. He turned and glared at me, his gaze stone cold. The boy was indeed handsome. Deep blue locks framing his chestnut brown eyes, and an attractive yet weird facial tattoo ran down his left eye. A pair of framed glasses rested comfortably on the bridge of his nose. I flitted my gaze over to his neat name tag. 'Jellal Fernandes'
'Not in our class...'"Hey! what do you want!" He barked and yanked off his glasses, making him *ahem* much more cuter. I grinned then shrugged, crawling to him. He stared at me like I was some kind of hungry monster ready to gobble him up any minute. I sat myself next to him, picking up his book and handing it over to him. "T-Thanks, I guess." He mumbled then put aside his book and his glasses in his pocket. I reached out my hand and grinned. "Konnichiwa! I'm Lucy Heartfilia!" I introduced.
'Dammit, why was I so shy in class just now then?'Jellal shook my hand and gave a lopsided smirk. "Heartfilia, eh? I'm Jellal Fernandes, one of the five princes of the school." He said.
'Tsk, of course. A guy like him should be a prince!'"Sooo what class are you?" I asked, fiddling with my fingers. "F3" he simply replied, and I gave a small nod.
"LUCYYY!" a familiar voice called out. Sting. I wanted to get up and wave him over, but when Jellal saw Sting, he deeply chuckled. Immediately, his arm snaked around my waist and his other free hand tilted up my chin, forcing me to face his gorgeous face. I blushed madly and wanted to push him off, but I couldn't. I just couldn't. My whole body was frozen. I could feel Jellal lean in closer and closer, his hot breath tickling my cheeks. I gulped, and squeezed my eyes shut, expecting his lips to smash against mine.
"JELLAL!!!"And BOOM! Sting came into the view, pushing Jellal off me. "What do you think you were doing to her?!?" Sting roared at Jellal, then beckoned to me. Jellal smirked and tilted his to a side like a lost puppy. "Seducing her?" He raised his eyebrows. Sting hissed then roughly pulled on my arm. "C'mon Lucy, let's go somewhere else." He said, still glaring at the bluenette. I gave a small nod and was pushed away by him. I turned around to face Jellal, giving him a wink before being dragged away.
"Lucy! don't get easily seduced by that blue haired freak. He's as bad as Mr. Loke!" Sting warned as we were nearing the cafe. I chuckled and rested my hand against his rock-hard chest to assure everything was okay. "It's okay. Jellal didn't do anything to me." I said but he didn't seem too convinced. Suddenly Minerva popped up out of nowhere and latched herself onto Sting's arm. Great.
"Hey bee boy, where you headin'?" She cooed, then glared daggers at me. Sting shook his arm off her and held me closer, and I could feel my face heating up. "To the cafe. And don't call me that!" Sting sighed then continued dragging me along. But still, Minerva wouldn't leave us alone. "What? with the tomato?!?" She shrieked. I guess tomato would be me, then. Sting huffed loudly and jutted out his bottom lip. He looked cute... "Yea yea. Now just leave us alone, will ya? Or I'll report to Mr. Jiemma you were trying to flirt with me." He warned. Mr. Jiemma, also known as our French teacher, was Minerva's father. One complain, and she would be instantly grounded, or that was what Sting said. It did the trick neatly, and Minerva spun on her heels and headed the opposite direction, cursing under her breath. "Haha Sting. You do know how to shut the girl up." I laughed. Sting shrugged his shoulders like it was no big deal. "She's a real pain in the ass."
When we stepped into the bustling cafe filled with booming laughs and chatters, we were greeted by loud cheers from the biggest table in the middle of the cafe. "Hey Sting! Come 'ere dude!" The ravenette, Gray, who was also a prince, waved his arms around wildly. Sting barely nodded and shoved me lightly to the group. I could see some familiar faces. Two of the princes were familiar, Gray and Rogue, and another one had long spiky black hair held up with a bandana wrapped around his head. He also had several metal piercing studs on his ear and along the side of his nose. His arm was slung around a petite girl with bright blue hair and framed glasses, who I recognized was Levy McGarden from class 'F2'
"Hey! You're Lucy right? I'm Levy! Pleased to make your acquaintance." The girl introduced and grinned. "Same to you, Levy" I replied. She then pointed to the thug guy beside her. "Oh, and this is Gajeel Redfox." She laughed while Gajeel grunted in annoyance. I had noticed that the table they were sitting at the middle was much larger then the other usual ones scattered around. Realization hit me that it was the VIP table for the princes and princess of the school. Guess Levy was one the princess then.
"Oh and Lucy, please take a seat!" Levy ushered me into the bench alongside Gray, and Sting plopped down beside me. Just then a blue haired girl wearing a strange winter dress popped up behind me, scaring the living daylights out of me. "Love rivaaaal... You've come to steal Gray-sama from Juvia!" She frowned. I was flabbergasted. Steal Gray from her? Talking in third person? That was creepy... "Don't pay attention to her, Lucy." I looked down and saw Gray holding my hand firmly. I heated up once again and saw Juvia had a killing intent on her face from the corner of my eye. "Love rivaaaal..." She sneered before stomping away. Great. My first day at school and it was already full with drama. I looked down to see the ravenette still holding on to my hand. "A-Ano Gray... can you let go of my hand?" I asked softly, then added in a smile to make him feel a little better. He almost immediately let go and looked the opposite direction. "Sorry Lucy..."
"Bunny girl's your girlfriend?" Gajeel asked Sting, with a bit of mock in his voice, and Levy practically had stars in her eyes. Sting looked straight in my direction and smirked. "I'd love for her to be my princess though..."
He laughed then turned to chat with Rogue.
Wait, what?!?
