LORELAI'S HOUSE
Lorelai, Ryland and Rory are sitting on the front porch. Ryland was reading a book while Lorelai was painting Rory's toenails. Rory squirts some whipped cream into her mouth.

"That's nice." Lorelai said sarcastically to her daughter. Ryland then looks at her sister in disgust while the girl does so.

"Thank you." Rory said as she continued to eat the whipped cream from the can.

"Don't move, please." Lorelai asked her daughter as she continued to paint her toenails.

"So, why are you insisting on doing this?" Ryland asked her mother as she looked up from her book.

"Well, because you both are starting private school tomorrow."

"Yes, but our going to be wearing shoes. Nobody's gonna see our feet." Ryland said as she closed her book.

"Okay, but everybody knows that private school girls are bad, and bad girls always wear red nail polish." There is a lull in the conversation.

"Are you guys nervous?" Lorelai asked her daughters as she continued to paint Rory's toenails.

"About what?" Rory asked her mom as Ryland kept on reading her book.

"About starting Chilton." Ryland then looked up from her book to look at her mom, Ryland just realized that she haven't given going to Chilton much thought.

"Well, I wasn't until I heard about all those bad girls." Lane runs up waving a CD, Ryland then looks at her like she's crazy.

"Guys, guys! New CD - XTC, Apple Venus Volume 2."

"Oh, woo, nails done!" Lorelai, Ryland and Lane all run toward the front door.

"But you only finished half my toes!" Rory yelled to her mom as the three girls ran inside.

"Who cares? You're gonna be wearing shoes anyway!" Rory then follows them all into the house as they all dance around and jam out to the cd that Lane brought.

LORELAI'S BEDROOM
Lorelai was asleep in bed as both Rory and Ryland were dressed in their Chilton uniforms, they open the door to the room to see that their mother was still sleeping.

"Mom!" Lorelai then wakes up startled she then turns to see her twin daughters standing there.

"What? God! Hi." She said before lay back down.

"What are you doing?" Ryland asked her mom, she couldn't believe she was sleeping in.

"Having a heart attack." Lorelai answer her daughter.

"I thought you were up. It's 7:10!" Rory tells her mom.

"What?"

"It's 7:10!" Ryland repeated to her mom.

"No." Ryland then grabs her mother's pillow, Lorelai then groans at her daughters actions.

"It's 7:10!" Ryland has repeated what her and Rory has already said and Lorelai grabs the pillow back.

"Stop it! It's a quarter to six." Lorelai said as she tried to go back to bed.

"No, it's not!" Ryland and Rory both shouted at their mom.

"Yes, it is! I set the clock for a quarter to six so it's. . ." Ryland grabs the clock and shows her the time.

"It's 7:10! Dammit." Lorelai climbs out of bed and looks around for her robe.

"We can't be late on our first day of school. Do you know what happens to people when they're late on their first day?" Rory asks her mother.

"It's shorter?" Lorelai asks sarcastically.
