Rory and Ryland are in the administration office as the lady, Miss James was handing some papers to the twins.

"Here's the dining room, the science hall, and the theater. Here's your locker number, here's your schedule, take this map. Here's the rules of the school and the Chilton Honor Code. Here are the words to the school song, which must be recited upon demand. This can happen any place, any time. If you do it in Latin you get extra credit. Do you two have any questions?" Miss. James asked and the twins shook their heads.

"Uh, not at the moment."  Ryland told the older lady.

"If you do, you can make an appointment to see your guidance counselor, Mr. Winters. He handles everything but bulimia and pregnancy. For that, you'll have to go to the nurse or Coach Rubens. Welcome to Chilton." Miss. James said and sent the two girls on their ways.

The twins got to their first class of the day and the teacher started lecturing the class.

"And while French culture was the dominant outside cultural influence, especially for Russia's monied class, English culture also had its impact. Tolstoy's favorite author, for instance, was. . ." The teacher started out before Paris raises her hand.

"Dickens." Paris answered before putting her hand down.

"Yes. And of course, last week we discovered Dostoevski's main authorial influences. . ." Ryland raises her hand to answer it but Paris beats her to it.

"George Sand and Balzac." Paris answered before glaring at Ryland.

"Good. As Tolstoy commenced writing both War and Peace and Anna Karenina, Count Leo would turn to. . ." The teacher continues as Paris answered again.

"David Copperfield." Ryland rolls her eyes, all she could think was 'show off'.

"Correct. He would turn to David Copperfield for inspiration." The teacher says as the door opens and Jonathan and another student walks in.

"Ah, Mr. Dugray. Mr. Barnes." The teacher says as the two walk in.

"Sir." Tristan hands the teacher a note.

"Nice to have you back. I hope your Grandfather's better." The teacher said as he takes Tristans note.

"Much better, sir." Tristan goes to take his seat as he looks at Rory.

"Good. Take your seat, please. And why are you late?" The teacher asked as he had turned his attention to Jonathan.

"Oh...Here you go." He then hands the note to the teacher as he stares as Ryland before catching her attention. She then smiles at him as he winks at her.

"Alright, take your seat behind Miss. Gilmore." Jonathan then sits behind Ryland.

"Hello again Beautiful." Jonathan said as he sat down behind her.

"Hi." She smiled as she turned her attention to the teacher.

"Great Expectations, A Tale of Two Cities, Little Dorrit, all major influences on Leo Tolstoy. Tomorrow we will focus on. . ." The teacher started back with his lesson as Tristan didn't listen as he stared at Rory and Jonathan stared at Ryland. Tristan then turns to a kid.

"Who's that?" Whisper to kid in front of him.

"New girl. And her sister." The student said as Tristan continues to stare at Rory which makes her uncomfortable.

". . .writing styles of these two literary masters, Tolstoy and Dickens." The bell then rings. "Class dismissed." Tristan turns to his friend.

"Looks like we got ourselves a Mary." Tristan said as he walked passed Rory.

"Miss, um, Gilmores, could you two come up here please?" Rory and Ryland walks up to him. "Here are last week's study materials." He hands them both a huge binder. "There'll be a test on them tomorrow, but since you're new, you can take a makeup on Monday. Will that be sufficient time?"

"Monday? Sure, that's fine."

"Good. That's just an overview. It would be very helpful to you to borrow one of the other student's personal notes. They tend to be more detailed."

"More detailed than this?" Ryland asked as she stared at the binder in her hands getting nervous.

"It seems daunting right now, I know." He said in a sarcastic way.

"No, no. It's okay. It'll be fine." Rory said as Ryland agreed but on the inside they are freaking out.

"Remember to get those notes. They'll be a lifesaver." The teacher says as the two girls walk out the door of the class into the hallway where they almost bump into a girl.

"Oh." Which was Rory said as Ryland snuck in a quick apology.

"I'm Paris." She said introducing herself.

"I didn't see you there. Where'd you come from?" Ryland asked a little freaked out about how the girl had just come up on them out of nowhere.

"I know who you are, too. Lorelai and Ryland Gilmore from Stars Hollow." Paris said and Ryland was kinda freaked out on how she knew that they were from Stars Hollow.

"You can call me Rory." Rory said with a nice smile.

"Are you going out for the Franklin?" Paris asked getting straight to the point.

"The what?" Ryland and Rory asked at the same time on accident.

"Nice innocent act. At least I know you're not going out for drama club." Paris said snappingly.

"We are confused." Ryland said as she looked at the small blonde with a confused look.

"The Franklin, the school paper, are you going out for it?" Paris said trying to get to the point or at least her point.

"I don't know, we have to find our locker first." Rory said and that made Ryland remember that she never got the chance to find her locker earlier because of her running into Jonathan.

"I'm gonna be editor next year." Paris said with a stern look on her face.

"Well, good for you." Rory said not really want to continue this conversation.

"I'm also the top of the class, and I intend to be valedictorian when I graduate." Paris said in which made Ryland roll her eyes.

"Okay, we are going now." Ryland said really just wanting to get away from this conversation and away from this girl.

"You'll never catch up. You'll never beat me. This school is my domain and the Franklin is my domain. And don't you ever forget that." Paris said before she walks off.

"Guess you're not gonna let me borrow your notes, huh?" Ryland said jokingly.

Ryland and Rory are walking down a hallway, when Tristan and Jonathan come up behind them.

"Hey, Mary. Hey, Mary." Tristan said to Rory as Jonathan pulls Ryland aside to talk to her.

"So...Beautiful, how are you liking Chilton so far?" Jonathan asked Ryland as they get a good distance from Tristan and Rory.

"Uhh...It's okay so far. It's a lot different from Stars Hollow High that's for sure." She responded with a smile.

"I'm sure it is, hey so I was wondering if you wanted to hang out? Like tonight?" Jonathan asked Ryland and she looked at him surprised.

"Uhh yeah sure...tonight sounds fun." Ryland said right as they exchanged numbers.

"Ryland let's go!" Rory said as she grabbed Ryland pulling her off into another direction.

"I'll see you later!" She yelled to Jonathan as she ran off with Rory.

"Yeah...See you later." Jonathan said with a wide smile as Tristan pulls him along.
