Virgil let go of Eddies wrist, holding it to stop him from letting Richie out early. Eddie rushed Richie and hugged him because he was so worried.
"Chee, are you ok?" he asked.
"Actually, yeah, that weirdly helped." Richie replied.
"O-ok whos n-n-nuh-ext?" Bill asked.
"Eddie." Mike said.
"What!?" Eddie asked, his volume rising.
"Better to get it out of the way early, right?" Bev said, turning to the car.
"If Richie can do it, you certainly can." Virgil says, laughing lightly.
"To the hospital then, get in guys." Stan said to the Losers, opening the doors of the van.
When they get to the hospital they all get out of the van and go in, they have special access because Virgil's mom is a doctor at this hospital. They put Eddie in the isolation unit and stand just outside. Eddie starts panicking right away. The Losers took his fanny pack before putting him in and this time Virgil was holding Richie's wrist to stop him from letting Eddie out. Eddie stands there saying to himself, they can't infect me, over and over. When he finally started feeling a little better, he remembered the first time Pennywise used his fear against him.
Flashback
I was getting a prescription filled like usual when I heard it. My mom called for me from a backroom basement of the pharmacy. I followed the sound of her voice down a set of stairs and came face to face with a st of specimen jars. I took out my inhaler and fumbled with it before actually being able to use it. I got a little further and I tipped into blood bags. I started screaming and getting tangled up in them. When I finally got myself untangled, I saw where my mom's voice was coming from. It was behind a dirty yellow curtain. I walked up and pulled it back to see her strapped to an operating table.
"Get me out of here Eddie Bear!" she cried to me.
I tried but then I noticed something at the far end of the room on a chain covered in a sheet. It started walking to us. It was loud and grunting. I panicked and lost my grip having trouble getting my mom free. It got closer and closer, stepping on the sheet I saw what it was. A leper. I panicked even worse at this point. I left my mom, backing up and running for it, not turning back.
End of flashback
Eddie started to feel better, knowing he was handling this better than last time. When the others saw he was completely calm, they opened the door and let him out.
