The cat's perspective:

"Uh... Hello?", the boy said and looked down at me with confused eyes. His face was teary and he looked exhausted.

I sat with my tail curled around my paws and looked up at him. I opened my mouth to introduce myself and why I'm here but all that came out, of course, was a meow.

"Ugh"

The bright-red-haired boy smiled and awed at me. He looked outside for a moment and then shut the door.

I huff quietly. It had been two days since I became a cat and I still wasn't used to it. People wouldn't stop looking at me and giggling and it really pissed me off.

My name is, or used to be, Min Yoongi. I used to go to college a short distance from here. I love music and play piano, but of course I can't play anymore. I'm a cat and I don't have fingers.

All of my time had been spent looking for any depressed stranger I could find, which was difficult. But I knew from the first time I saw him that this kid was obviously hopeless. That's why I picked him. All I knew is that I needed to find someone suicidal and stop them from killing themselves. Apparently that would change me back. I'm not sure how I knew that. My memory of that day has been pretty blurry, anyways.

"Are you lost, kitty? My name is Hoseok, but I'm usually called Hobi.", The boy asked aloud with a grin. He kneeled down and beckoned me to him. I did as the boy, now known as Hoseok, wanted only to gain his trust. He reached out his hand and stroked the top of my head.

I mentally grimaced and would have much rather bit his hand off for touching me, but I had to act like a friendly cat. That was the only way to convince him to let me live with him.

He stroked his hand down to my neck. "No collar either?" He rose to his feet and grabbed his phone from off the table. He pointed it at me as if he was taking a picture.

Once he was done he put the phone in the pocket of his jeans. "I'll go ask if anyone here is looking for you." He says walking towards the door. "Stay here. I'll be back."

"Well duh, you dumbass."

Hoseok's perspective:

I knocked on the door of my neighbor's apartment. The man I knew as Park Jimin opened. He stood in the frame of the doorway with black sweatpants and a white T-shirt. His hair had been dyed silver.
"Hello, can I help you?" He asked politely.

Nervously, I grabbed my phone and held the photo of the cat out to him. "Yes, is this your cat? Or do you know who's it is?"

Jimin looked at the photo closely and shook his head. "No, I'm sorry."

I lowered the phone and put it in my pocket.

"Most people don't have pets here because of the extra fee." He said "It's possible but not very likely. Maybe it's from farther away."

I nodded. What if this cat was from the other side of town? "What should I do?"

Jimin shrugged. "Personally, I would make a post online, put up papers around town, notify the nearby shelters, and see what happens. If nothing turns up, you can always surrender it to a shelter or keep it yourself." He smiled.

I looked down at my phone. Could I even manage to have a pet? I'd always wanted a cat, and this one was so cute. It had such soft, fluffy white fur and bright blue eyes. "Okay, thank you." I said to him, nodding gratefully.

"No problem. Good luck!" He said and closed the door with a nod.

After returning to my apartment, I get my laptop out and begin designing a "found cat" flier to hang around town. The cat gets up from sitting on the carpet and jumps up on the couch beside me. It looks from me to the computer sitting on my lap.

"Hi there pretty kitty." I say reaching my hand out to pet the white cat. "I'm trying to find your owner." I expected the cat to purr but it only sat quietly and stared at the floor.

Continuing with my task, I realize I wasn't aware of the sex of the animal. That would definitely be important information.

Yoongi's perspective:

So now I knew what this guy was doing. It was pointless though. Obviously there was no one who would claim me as their pet unless they were lying. I was a cute cat and I wouldn't be surprised if I was even a pure breed.

Suddenly, the red head grabbed me under my front legs and raised me up to the level of his face.

"If you don't put me down in five seconds I'll scratch your eyes out, fucker!"

My fangs showed as I hissed a warning.

"Just a second I promise! I have to see what you are." He says turning me around. "You're so fluffy I can't even tell. I'll have to move your fur out of the way."

"Oh, HELL no."

Trying to get away, I kicked and scratched. This kid was not about to be touching all my cat junk.

"OW!!", Hoseok shouted, dropping me and holding his bleeding arm. "Okay you're a male cat I'm sorry, I'm sorry! I'm done messing with you, now."

I looked back at him afraid that scratching him was a mistake. Maybe he wouldn't keep me here if I could be dangerous.

Hoseok closed his laptop and looked down at his arm. "I'm sorry for bothering you." He muttered aloud.

Partially feeling guilty and partially worried I'd crossed the line, I jumped back on the couch. I curled up right beside him and laid my head on his left hand that he had laid on the couch.

He wiped his eyes with his other hand and moved his left hand to pet me. He smiled gently and ran his hand across my fluffy white back and down my tail.

Maybe I purred to seem cute.

Maybe it was because cats did in fact like to be petted.

Whatever the reason, I knew that I had comforted him and that he'd forgiven me.
