Callen's pov:
Only seconds after Dom has left the room after examining Maya's wound carefully, two giggling and excited kiddos run into the room.
„I said no running guys!" sam says as soon as he e gets the room behind them. Till then those two where already trying to climb onto my bed. Aiden the ever protective brother helped little Kamran by literally pushing her up onto the bed. Aiden himself was about to try and climb up after her but quickly gets lifted up by Sam with a shake of his head.
„Sorry G, those two have convinced Tommy's mum that she should drop them off by the hospital. A nurse just brought them to me while we where waiting outside." he explains to me while I cuddle both of them close into my body. I really have missed them, even though I was asleep the most time I stayed here.
„Did you guys really lied to Tommy's mum?" I ask them with an eyebrow raised at them.
„Mhm, but daddy said I and Aiden isn't allowed to visit! We missed you though!" little Kamran tells me with teary eyes. So I quickly pull them close I to me again.
„I missed the both of you too! But no more running off now. Your dad and i would be going green with worry if we weren't able to find you. Ok?" i ask them and just like they always do they agree with their simultaneous nodding.
„We gots you something!" Kamran tells me suddenly back to her happy and giddy self. Sam hands them their backpacks with a small smile since they made grabby hands towards them. All the adults keep on watching those twos every move, they don't seem to care though.
„Here! That means lots of Huggs and kisses! See!?" Kamran explains while pointing to all the xes and os. A soft smile creeps into my face without even trying to hide my happiness right now.
„Thanks princess! I love the pictures!" I tell her and softly kiss her forehead which makes her giggle again.
„I painted something for you to. See, this is you with me and daddy and Kamran. We play basketball and we win!" Aiden shows me his picture proud that he got my focus on himself now.
„That's awesome buddy! I even knew who is who before you pointed at everyone. You are really getting better and better at painting!" I praise him and kiss his forehead as well. He smiles widely at me before cuddling close to me again.
„Are you coming back home with is? Pretty please?" he asks me hopefully.
„I am sorry buddy but I need to stay here for a little longer. But don't worry as soon as I can leave, I am going to live with you again. Till then you guys need to think of some new games. And maybe even find out how your dad always cheats on the board games!" I instruct them which gets them laugh and giggle again.
„Hey! I don't cheat! You just aren't as good as me!" sam tells us with his arms crossed over his broad chest! And just like we often do. We shout bullshit at him before showing him our tongues.
„Oh! I am going to remember that! Don't think just because you are hiding behind your hurt uncle now that I won't get you back later!" sam tells me while wiggling his fingers in the air. Showing them that he is going to tickle them later which of course gets them to laugh and giggle even more. Slowly the two of them have quietened down again, they seem to finally catch on that all the other people in the room were looking at them.
„Who is that?" Kamran whispers pretty loud which makes everyone chuckle at her cuteness.
„That's Gibbs, you still remember him right?" I ask them, they immediately nod at me and excitedly wave at Gibbs.
„Hello you two! I see you are still up to no good!?" Gibbs says with a soft smile.
„The Woman next to Gibbs is Ziva, she is a team member from Gibbs." I go on to tell the kids who is who.
„She is after the bad guys line you and daddy and Gibbs?" Kamran asks and looks at Ziva with wide eyes.
„I do! Need to make sure little cuties like the two of you stay safe!" Ziva tells them softly.
„Then there is Stephen, he is a paramedic. You guys still remember what a paramedic does?" I ask them to make sure they haven't forgotten.
„They are allowed to drive extra fast with the car cause they are saving hurt people!" Aiden answers me, proud he still could remember the explanation Sam and I have given them once we saw an ambulance driving.
„That's right buddy!" i tell him with a huge smile towards him.
„And the lady next to you? In the bed? Does she have a boohoo like you?" Kamran asks me with unsure eyes.
„Yes, she is hurt as well. That's Maya, she saved your uncle G from a very bad man!" I inform them. Their eyes get wider and wider, before they hurry over to her bed.
„Up!" they say while looking at Sam expectingly.
„Thanks for saying uncle G!" they tell her as soon as they got onto her bed, of course with Sam's help. They even hugged her softly to not hurt her stomach where the bandage is showing.
„You guys are very welcome!" she tells them with a soft smile. Kamran has already started to play with her fingers, like she often does with people she feels comfortable with. Aiden also keeps talking with her, at first a bit shy but shortly after the whole room was filled with their giggles. It really feels awesome that the two have taken an immediate liking towards Maya, that means a lot to me.
„Seems like she fits right in doesn't it?" sam ask me in a whisper from behind me. I only nod at him with a soft smile. Not able to keep my eyes away from those three. Sadly the two kiddos needed to leave soon after again since they have school tomorrow and need to get something into their belly.
„Is we allowed to come visit again daddy?" Kamran asks Sam with pleading eyes, and of course he said yes. How can anyone say no to such a sweetheart!
„Me is going to paint you something as well!!" she promises Maya before kissing her cheek. Aiden promise her the same, and just like her sister kiss her cheek in good bye. Of course the also came to say by to me as well. And after another round of kisses and hugs, the two of them left. With Sam today, since I told him that I was fine and that he should stay with the two kiddos. The rest of the room empty's our rather quickly after the three have left, so now only Maya and I are left.
„hey!" i whisper softly towards her, happy that I turned over towards her earlier since the pain back than was pretty bad, Iran's right now I don't need any pain to disturb us.
„Hey!" she whispers back as well. Her eyes finally on me again.
