Tell me I'm worth it
Tell me I'm worth it
But in a world where worth
Is determined by your hurt
As you struggle to survive
In this world without fireflies
Without direction or light
So you walk blindly
Blinded by expectations
Blinded by the darkness
So tell me I'm worth it.Tell me I'm worth it.
When it's pouring rain
Formed with the tears of our nation
As children are desensitized
As children learn to lie
As children are beaten
Abused
Misused
Shaped into something between human and machine.
Is this who we are truly meant to be?
Machines who can't feel
Our broken parts replaced
With artificial minds
With artificial heartsTell me I'm worth it.
Tell me whether your a girl or a boy
Tell me whether you are skinny or fat
Tell me even when your hurting
That we're all made the same
That we're all going through this pain
How can we judge others for their looks
When all of our hearts hurt?
How can we taunt and tattle
Name call and cat call
How can we abuse our brothers and sisters
When we know we are all the same inside
We all bleed red
It doesn't matter what made us bleed
Because in the end cleaning wounds
Stings more than making more woundsTell me I'm worth it.
Tell me my generation isn't going to be the last
Tell me bombs won't destroy us
Tell me we're strong alone
But we're stronger together
We turn our backs on other nations
When in reality
We're all trying to achieve peace
How can we turn to violence
How can we be silent
When we're destroying world's
So tell me I'm worth it.
Tell me we're not simply existing
Because I know we're all worth it.
