Chapter 11

JM POV

Maze starts yawning and lays her body on the couch, snuggling between Taehyung and Namjoon-hyung. When y/n is just about to get up and take Maze, Namjoon-hyung gestures her to leave Maze, reassuring her that Maze isn't bothering them. Something I thank him for.

I appreciate the fact that each one of my brothers is trying his level best to show his concern and care towards both Maze and Y/n.

Without me realizing, I find myself smiling at Y/n. I rub my philtrum and look elsewhere when Jin suddenly calls my name, asking me to go to the nearby store to by some 'necessities'.

I sigh and get up but out of nowhere I hear him whisper in my ears, "Take y/n with you." And with that, he moves away as if he said nothing to me. A 'huh' sound escapes my mouth when I look at his back as he walks to switch on the TV. "Don't forget the popcorn because we are out-"

"We are never out of popcorn hyun-" I almost protest.

"When I say we are out of popcorn then we are out of popcorn. Now go and buy it," Jin-hyung demands, gaining a huff from me.

"Wanna come along?" I ask y/n, who surprisingly accepts. The two of us leave the house with me ahead of her, but she eventually catches up to me, walking alongside me.

"I hope you enjoyed your time with us. I know some of them can be such nonsense, so I apologize in their stead," I start.

She just chuckles and shakes her head in denial. I see her shy smile and quickly avert my eyes to look in front of me. "I think it's about time for me to leave," She informs me.

"Try telling that to Jin-hyung. If he lets you leave, then you can go," I casually say unfazed since I know hyung won't allow her to leave this 'early'. I know it's not early, and it's almost 9 pm but for a weekend it certainly is.

She pouts cutely as we enter the store together to buy the 'popcorn' which I'm quite sure is filling up our cupboard back at home, but guess what! Who can say no to hyung!

I take out my wallet and put on the casher's table, paying for the popcorn. Y/n flashes me a smile while taking the popcorn bag before I could hold it. I follow her outside and walk a fair distance when suddenly I remember, leaving my wallet back at the store. "Damn it! Can you wait here for a minute? I forgot my wallet back at the store."

She nodes and quicken my pace. "What am I? A fool!" I nag at myself throughout my walk back to the store.

"You forgot your wallet sir," The cashier hands me my wallet. I bow and leave the store to meet up with y/n. I sigh on my way back.

For a moment I see her talking with 2 figures, so I slow my pace to give her time to finish her conversation, maybe with her 'friends'.

However, when the distance closes between us, I see things clearer. Those 2 aren't her friends. Her eyes are constantly looking up at me. Her legs are slowly taking steps back away from them.

I march towards them and step in front of her, looking down at those 2 inhumane males who are bothering the mother of my child "Leave" I yell in their faces with a threatening tone, but they don't move.

Anger for a second blinds me, and as I'm almost about to smash both their heads, y/n holds my shirt from behind, gesturing me to stop. "Let's leave," she whispers with a low voice only for me to hear.

I huff and turn, grabbing her hand in mine while moving at a fast pace back to my house. She stumbles behind me but says nothing, so I suck up my anger to cool down and slow my pace to match hers.

"Sorry," I say with my back facing her but still with my hand in hers.

"You did nothing wrong."

"Hyung has been pushing me to spend time with you or to make it clear, to start growing feelings for you, but I know there is no use. This all is- is just nonsense."

After saying those words, we stay silent the whole walk, and I let go of her hand when I reach the door to open it. "Here is your popcorn. Hope you don't ask for more useless things." I throw the bag at him which lands on his chest, and he quickly holds it before it slips on the floor.

I leave them and go wash my face. I enter my room after, seeing Maze sleeping soundly on my bed. A soft smile creeps on my face as I carefully walk towards her and sit on the bed beside her.

I caress her cheeks and move some strands of hair away from her eyes. "Sorry, my baby for not being there for you since the beginning," I kiss her forehead and get up when I suddenly see y/n standing by the door.

She walks towards Maze and carries her, saying "We need to leave because it's becoming late."

"But-"

"Don't worry; I took permission from Jin oppa," She flashes me a fake smile and leaves the room.

Is she angry with me? What did I do though?
