Leafy's P.O.V

I was sat there singing the song for a while. It reminded me of the rose, and how we promised never to take it out, never to take of a single petal. It was probably destroyed now. And that garden was probably back to its gloomy self. But out of nowhere, something appeared.

I was singing it for almost the umpteenth time, but there was a sudden burst of light next to me. I covered my eyes and turned around in fear. When the loud boom was over, there was a yellow twinkling light. I slowly turned around and there was a rose. Not faded like the rest, but a full image. It had no scent. I put my hand through the rose, but it went through the image instead.

I looked at the rose and had a quick flashback of the better times once again. I sang the song under my breath, and I may have started tearing up. As I sang the flower started to move, like there was an invisible breeze carrying it along. I started singing it a bit louder, alarmed by how loud it sounded in the silence. The rose started to grow the aroma of that same field. I stopped for a second and it started to leave.

From then on, I sang a bit louder and I even heard music supporting me in the background, though I'm not sure from where. The rose started to sway intensely and the music grew louder as the room started to become lighter.

I put my hand on the rose and I could feel it this time, the soft petals and the smooth stem. I was going to pick it from the ground but then I remembered something.

'Firey, we need to make a promise to never take this rose out of the garden!'

'Why, what will happen?'

'The garden is gonna be upset!'

'Oh, alright then! I promise!'

I didn't take it because I remembered the promise I made to Firey all those years ago. He may not have kept it anymore, but I did. Instead, I sat next to it and hummed the song gently as the room grew lighter every minute or so. Then the ghost came out of nowhere, and she clapped her hands.

'That was great! Your singing is filled with so much emotion that the rose is here in its full former glory.  This rose will fill you with a warm feeling whenever you stroke its petals, but be warned. If you pick it out then it will signal breaking a promise and giving up, and I will have to send you into your present thoughts. You seem to like it here, in the back of your mind where the happier memories are, so don't do such thing.'

'Alright.. but what if I need to go back up there?' I asked.

'I will know when it it needed and you will be given permission to take it out while still maintaining its beauty. Leafy, you cannot do anything about Evil Leafy, but you can stay here until the time is right. A few people from a different dimension are helping to defeat your corrupted self. When it is weakened you will be able to escape through the foggy ceiling. Even when the corpse of it is long gone, it still remains in your mind as the thoughts that remind you of how selfish Firey has been, begging you to get revenge on him. But look where revenge has gotten you already. The choice is yours to make, Leafy.'

And with that the pink ghost faded away. I stared at the rose and tried to think. That was a lot of information at once, and what did she mean by the choice was mine to make?

Marshmallow's P.O.V

'Dough what are we doing here..?' I asked him. Why were we here, how would this help?

'Well, think of it this way. MePhone was an Apple product, and he was able to recover people. If we take another MePhone, they should be able to recover as well! Only problem is that we have to steal it.' Dough explained.

'But the security in there is gonna be insane!' Apple said, pointing at the security guard. Normally it was a MePhone, but this time it was a MePad.

'Follow my lead, guys.' Dough said. He floated past the path of tiles and looked at the guard. The guard acted like Dough didn't exist, so he could easily go through him. He even started taunting him by insulting him or repeatedly going through him.

He signalled for me and Apple to follow but Apple looked intimidated. I knew how to defeat it though. I took Apple's hand and proudly walked up to the guard and gave it a deadly glare.

'Sorry, ma'am, but you don't have an appointment with Mr Cobs, you must leave.' It demanded with a robot voice. I didn't care at all, and just tapped its screen. It bent a bunch and then floated like a piece of paper into the cloudy abyss below.

'Uhh.. what just happened..?' Apple asked me. Her expression was one of 'Wait, why do they still bend, I'd think they would've fixed that..'

'I don't know and I agree with your point.' I told her. She lifted an eyebrow at me because she didn't know how I knew her thoughts, but I only took her hand and walked down the path. Dough was flying around in circles with his hands in the air. I guess dying won't be that bad.

'Wait, can't you just fly in there, Dough?' I questioned.

'This place has alarm systems designed to catch ghosts as well..' He said.

Apple and I both agreed we couldn't logic our way out of this. Dough peeked through the double doors and froze there for a minute. Apple and I felt like there was nothing else to do but to look down as to see where we would fall if this would go wrong.

'Alright, I have a plan.'

Dough looked back at us with a determined smile as me and Apple dizzily backed away from the edge.

'I can predict what places the security cameras will focus on. There is a specific pattern in the floor with the colour of the tiles, so just follow my lead to the next room.'

Dough phased through the doors and opened them from the inside, signalling for us to enter but quietly. We tip-toed into the office as we looked around the scene. It was filled with tables and empty chairs. there were screens all around the place with their own adverts, wonder why. There was a wooden floor of tiles light and dark. There was nothing else apart from glass for the walls.

'Follow me.' He said.

Dough studied the patterns of the tiles for a second and walked in the straight line of two paired tiles, but floating in a zigzag pattern, only the dark ones. Me and Apple stepped on the dark tiles and occasionally did it to the rhythm of  few songs we knew.

However, we slipped up. Apple got too carried away and stepped on two tiles, both light and dark. Apple froze.

'Oh no..' She said while her legs shook. After a second of her trying to open her eyes wider, sirens went off. Dough looked at us, smiled, waved and disappeared.

'DOUGH!' I yelled in anger. He couldn't just leave us, he got us into this mess! Security guards, a.k.a more MePhones, came from every corner and tackled us. Even though we were clearly cornered, Apple had an idea. She grabbed a MePhone that was headed towards him and carried him in the air, making sure she was clinging onto his arms.

'HURRY!' She yelled. Apple ran for the door, not caring about the order of tiles now that it didn't matter to us. I broke free from the pool of flashing screens and stepped on them all, only focusing on the exit. Me and Apple ran for the double doors and busted them open.

'FREEDOM!' We yelled in unison. We cheered and ran for the circle at the end of the road. Dough appeared and looked afraid, or like something was behind us. He pointed and we didn't look back, but froze. Then I heard a familiar voice.

'You think you can get away with stealing from me?'
