I got in the car and drove home, crying the whole way. How could she do this to me?! I know I don't outright tell her, but he's been my lane for three years. She should know! I have to confront her.
I got out of the car and walked through the door. Zach was driving around in Stella's mini firetruck. Stella was chasing him around and laughing her head off.
"Zach, where is everyone?" I asked. He stopped the car and Stella climbed into his lap.
"Grace got a call from her mum and went to go see what was wrong." Huh. What a coward.
"And the boys went to the shops to get some food cuz we accidentally ate all of yours." He continued.
I was about to tell him that I'd already gotten food, but then he looked up and saw my face. He instantly looked concerned. "Ali? What's wrong?" He asked.
I felt tears coming up but I faked a smile and tried to laugh it off. "Oh, I'm just tired. I think I'm going to go to bed." I hugged Zach, kissed Stella's forehead and went to me room.
I locked the door and leaned against it. And burst into tears.
