Yelling on the brig vibrated down the hallways. It had started not twenty minutes ago and didn't seem to be letting up anytime soon.

The two tempers flared and roared, matching each other not wanting to back down.

You yelled at the General, whose face was almost as red as his hair as the crew around you did their best to look as preoccupied with the holos in front of them.

You'd be landing soon. Coruscant. Once a city-planet of buzzing political activity, but now a hive of wasps plotting how to bend the other planets into submission. There was still some semblance of democracy in the senate halls, and you were being sent to stamp it out.

"I will not betray my galaxy I this way."

"You forget my dear this is why you were spared."

You scoffed, "I could never forget as I have the daily reminder of being in your esteemed presence every kriffing day!"

He took a step forward, "you will not ignore direct orders and you will go to those still loyal to the Republic. They will join us or be made an example of."

You stepped forward your arm raised and toe-to-toe with him.

Your body seized, inches from Hux's cheek. Tears welled in your eyes as the air seemed to be sucked from your lungs and every muscle screamed in stiff agony.

"That will be quite enough from both of you," a distorted, mechanic voice said from behind.

The air rushed your lungs again and you collapsed to the floor as autonomy over yourself returned. Your black, embroidered dress pooled around your knees as you gasped.

"Careful Ren, a cornered wolf is at its most desperate. Especially a beta with wanting for a higher station."

The strike came harder than you could have anticipated. Your face burned with the mark of the man standing in front of you. All his previous rage now marring your cheek.

You willed the tears back as you stood, brand clear to the now silent room. "Is that the best you've got?"

The General raised his hand once more, about to strike again.

He stopped. Eyes flicking to the mass behind you.

Taking a deep breath, Hux grabbed your upper arm, pulling you close. "My dear, you've no idea just how I'll strike from my corner of this arena." He pushed you back, his breath lingering on your neck.
