Apology

Grace's POV 

I laid there looking up at the ceiling sniffling away the last of the tears from my crying. I heard the soft rustling of the sheets as Aiden sat up to look at me. 

"Mommy sad?" He asked as he stared at me with wide eyes. 

"I'm okay baby. Just thinking of some bad memories." I smiled as him. He nodded and scooted closer to me so he could give me a hug. I hugged him tight and sat up so I wouldn't crush him. He pulled away and sat down on my lap still hugging me before he asked me about the "scary man."

"Made mama sad?" 

"No sweetheart. He was just angry so he got me angry. Not sad." I said smiling at him to reassure him that I was okay.

"Mommy why he angry?" Asked Aiden. 

"He's just throwing a tantrum baby. He's upset because he can't get what he wants." I tried to explain, but his big blue eyes just looked at me with worry.

"Will he hurt mama?" He asked as his hands tighten around me. My heart broke at this, I hadn't even been here a full day and James is already creating problems for us, stupid asshole.

"Oh baby, of course not mommy will be fine. I'm strong and can protect both of us, plus we have all your uncles and aunties on our side as well. We are loved and well protected honey. Now go to sleep it's late and has been a long day." I said as I kissed him on his head and gently rocked him back to sleep. I placed him back at my side and laid down with him. I looked at my baby and thanked the Moon Goddess that he didn't take much after his father. I was terrified that James would figure it out and take him from me.

Yeah right, as if I would let him take our pup from us. I would rip out his heart before I let him touch our baby.

I know Sky but we don't know what he'll do if he finds out. He's already scared Aiden so much and we've barely been here less than 24 hours.

Don't worry Grace he will not know about his pup. He does not deserve it. I only wished that Xavier could know about his pup it's not his fault that James is this way, but I know he can't we have to protect our son.

I'm sorry Sky I know this must be painful. I love you thank you for protecting us.

I love you too Gray. Now go to sleep you know Aiden will be up as soon as the sun rises.

She had a point Aiden loved to be up as soon as the sun was up. I continued to look at him and ran my hand down his cheek while he slept. This made him snuggle up closer to me, I smiled as I wrapped my arms around him and allowed him to snuggle up into my chest. I fell asleep with my little angel in my arms with slight worried thoughts of what would happen in the months I was back at the Moonbeam pack.

"Mama! Mama! Wake up!" I heard as I felt strong movement on the bed. I lazily opened my eyes to find a very awake Aiden jumping on the bed to wake me up.

"Nooooo." I groaned into the pillow. This made Aiden to jump on my back while continuing to say "wake up." I groaned once more and bucked Aiden off my back on to the bed. I started to tickle my boy causing him to laugh out loud and beg me to stop.

"Stop mama! Stop!" He screamed with his adorable little voice and laugh. This made me and Sky swell with happiness knowing we can make our pup this happy.

"Hmmm. I don't know if I should. Maybe if you give me a big hug and kiss I'll let you go." I said as I stopped the tickling. He calmed down and a bit and jumped into my arms and gave me a kiss.

"There mama! Now let's go I hungry." I chuckled and picked him up and headed downstairs. Luckily since it was still really early and it was Saturday no-one was really up in the pack house.

"Okay honey what would you like to eat ?" I watched him as he began to think about what he wanted. Then all the sudden his eyes widen as he screamed "Pancakes!"

"Alright pancakes it is then. Would you wanna come help me?" He nodded his little head and came near me so I can set him on the counter. He helped me stir the mix while I began to prepare some fruits and other things for the pancakes. As I was finishing up our breakfast I can feel someone's eyes on us and turned around. Of course the bastard would be up at the crack of dawn. I gave him a glare and continued on what I was doing, but then I could hear him getting closer.

"Good morning Grace." I heard him say from behind me. Who does he think he is talking to me after everything he's done.

"Leave me alone." I seethed as I got Aiden down from the counter and placed him on the high chair I brought with me. I gave him his breakfast and the whole time I could feel James eyes on us, which made me feel extremely nervous. I walked back toward the kitchen leaving Aiden in the dining room but where I can keep an eye on him. James walked into the kitchen and I could tell he wanted to say something.

"Grace please let me show you I've changed. I'm not the same person I was before I care about you and want to be real mates with you." The look on his face seemed sincere which caught me off guard for a second. How did he go from being a raging Alpha male one night to an apologetic sad mate the next day. I stared at him with arms crossed as he looked at me waiting for me to say something.  Just as I was about to say something all I see is Chloe rush into the kitchen where we were and boy was I not looking forward to this.

Well this should be interesting.
