Grace's POV

I woke up to the sound of birds flying over me up in the trees. I groaned before standing up on my paws and stretching out to relax my tense muscles from the days of running. Deciding to shift back I pick up my bag that was on the floor It was morning now. I was aimlessly wandering the forest admiring the tall trees that seemed to interact with one another. Unconsciously placing a hand on my stomach wondering what my child would be like. I was pulled out of my thoughts when I realized I was in another pack's territory.

Oh no. I tried going back where I came from before they found out but that hope was soon lost when I heard a Snap! I turned around to see that I had been surrounded by wolves. They trapped we from all sides so I wouldn't think of escaping. I stood in a protective stand making sure that my arms were around my bump.

Must protect our pup. Sky said letting out a loud growl but was only greeted with a fierce growl from the Alpha of the wolves.

His growl made a part of me want to submit but the Luna in Sky made me stand still making eye contact with the Alpha in front of me. There were four wolves by his side staring at me with curious, yet cautious eyes. The Alpha came closer and I wrapped my arms around my stomach even more and bared my canines at him hoping that he would back off. The Alpha tilted his head in confusion before shifting back to his human form with the other wolves following his lead.

" Why are you on my land Rogue?" asked the Alpha. 

" I was only passing by I didn't mean for any trouble." I responded trying to back away from him. He kept his eyes on me watching my movements so I wouldn't run.

" You're pregnant aren't you? Why does it look like you've been running for days. Who are you running from?" I felt my mouth open and close like a fish trying to find a way to answer his question. His question stunned me how did he know I was running?

" I-I just want to protect my pup." Answering him in a quiet voice. I looked at him and he just stared at me with curious eyes just like the other four.

"I don't know why you're running but I can promise you protection for both you and your pup. But you must come back to our pack house so I can hear your story. Deal?" He asked reaching out his hand for me to shake. I stood there frozen contemplating if this was a cruel trick or if he was really going to help me.

We can trust him. Sky said making me slightly confused.

"I promise to tell you my story in exchange for protection." I answered reaching out my hand to shake his. He nodded then told me to follow him as he lead the way to the pack house. I followed him and the rest of the wolves back to their pack house. I kept my head down dragging my feet trying to not make eye contact with the wolves surrounding me. 

"Psss." I heard someone next to me say. I didn't dare to look not wanting to anger the Alpha but then I felt a poke on my arm. I picked up my head to see guy with brown hair and blue eyes who gave me a big smile. 

"Hi my name is Logan nice to meet ya." He said and out his hand for me to shake. I took it carefully and shook it.

"Hey! I wanted to say to her too! My name is Roland and we're twins." Said the guy that was on the other side of me who looked the same as Logan but his eyes were hazel. Before I could reply their Alpha said that we had arrived at the pack house and that I should follow him. He was accompanied by a guy with blonde hair and green eyes who I had assumed was his Beta. We reached a large door at the end of a hall that had guards posted at both sides of the entrance. I stayed quiet and followed them inside and stood there frozen waiting for him to say something to me. The Alpha continued to walk until he sat on a chair at his desk while his Beta followed to stand by his side.
