Sorah and I step off the train together. Little Soojin is hanging off my arm, while I carry Seokjun in the other. We move quickly to the main entrance of Ilsan station. I had promised Taehyung we would arrive at nine, yet the train arrived at nine fifteen. Since I still have an American cellphone, the connection on the train was not the best. Hopefully he's still waiting. Finally stepping outside, I look around for Taehyung, but he was nowhere in sight. My heart sinks at the thought that he had left without me, without us.
Five meters from the entrance, I notice a tall handsome guy standing alone. His short light brown hair was almost golden in color and part slightly to one side. He was wearing a grey long sleeve shirt under a white collared jacket with black jeans and black sneakers. With his arms folded, he turns his gaze in our direction, and then jumps with surprise.
I could not believe my eyes. I was just as shocked as him. I quickly pass Seokjun to Sorah, making sure that she also had Soojin's hand. Without a second thought, I run down the rest of the steps. The handsome guy started moving towards me too, but suddenly stopped at the bottom of the steps.
"Joonie!" Magically, I trip on the second to last step, but fall right into Namjoon's open arms. He predicted I would fall and prepared himself to catch me. "Joonie! I've missed you." I give him the tightest hug, with all the strength possible.
"I've missed you too, beautiful." Namjoon hugged me back, just as tightly for a few moments, and then let's go. He looks down at me then looks past me. I look around to see Sorah with my kids and realize that I'm supposed to be looking for Taehyung.
"Oh, I still need to find Taehyung." I look around, hoping he would suddenly appear. Namjoon puts a hand on my shoulder.
"You mean Taehyung Kim?" A little stunned that he would know Taehyung, I nod. His pleasant smile fills his face. "He's my cousin. He asked me to wait here for you while he got the car." Just as he said that, a black SUV pulled up next to us. The backseat door swung open to reveal another handsome guy, as tall as Namjoon. He wore black high-water pants with black sneakers, a plain white tee and a red with white sleeves letterman jacket.
"Hey, Cuz!" With his boxy smile, Taehyung held up Namjoon's wallet. "I found your wallet! It was in my bag." Taehyung tosses Namjoon his wallet. Fumbling to catch it, he drops it immediately.
"Thanks Tae. I forgot I put it there." Namjoon picks up his wallet and puts it in his back pocket.
Taehyung suddenly lets out a gasp. Locking eyes with me, he jumps out of the car, wrapping his arms around me.
"Nelly! I missed you!!" Taehyung hugs me tightly, then let's go and looks around at my kids. Bright eyed, he walks over to them. Still hanging onto Sorah, Soojin tightens her grip while Seokjun buries his face into Sorah's shoulder.
Sorah was just a little shorter than me, so Taehyung towered over her. Her curled short hair framed her face perfectly. Her navy blue skinny jeans and slip-on tiger print shoes made her cute outfit come together with her loose fitted light grey t-shirt tucked into her pants.
"Hi babies! I'm your uncle Tae!" Taehyung knelt down to be at their level, grinning from ear to ear. I notice Namjoon shake his head and I smile, remembering my time with each in the past. I missed them both, and I was glad to learn they were cousins.
"Ah, Unnie! A little help please?" Startled, I flinch and rush over to grab Seokjun, who was sinking heavily into Sorah's thigh. I turn to Taehyung and Namjoon and hold out a hand, placing Sorah on display.
"Guys, this is my best friend Sorah from California. She helps me with the kids." Both respectfully bow and say hello to Sorah. Then pointing at each of my children, I introduce them both.
