Namjoon sits in his home office at his desk, focused on his computer. He is wearing a plain white V-neck shirt and light blue-grey jeans. The screen shows a video image of a bookshelf full of Korean snacks, Manga, and Kpop albums. The video rested on a blue background. Taehyung finally sits in front of his camera, coming into Namjoon's view, wearing a huge black hoodie.
"Sorry Cuz, I'm back now." Namjoon shakes his head and laughs.
"I expect nothing less, especially since you left me for a girl." Namjoon pretends to wipe away a tear. Taehyung just laughs it off.
"I know you don't miss me. You only call because Nell makes you." Taehyung pouts, pretending to be upset. They stay seriously sad for a couple minutes then burst out laughing.
"So, tell me Tae," Namjoon catches his breath. "Of all the states in America to move to, why Idaho?" He looks at Taehyung with a confused gaze. Taehyung groans, throwing back his head and spinning his chair around 180 degrees.
"I told you. My girlfriend goes the university nearby. If I want to be with her, I have to be here......in the cold and snow." Taehyung scowls at Namjoon, waiting for his wiseass response.
"You know we have cold and snow here, right?" Namjoon pauses. Seeing the look on Taehyung's face, he could see that he had upset him enough. He knew that Taehyung was an adult, capable of making his own decisions. It was just weird without him around. And the kids missed their Uncle Tae, too. Namjoon breaks the silence.
"Sorry man, I'll drop it." Namjoon offers him a humble smile with finger hearts. Taehyung sighs, rolling his eyes and throwing finger hearts back.
"Alright..." Taehyung grunts a little to himself and takes a drink of his cola.
"So what have you been up to these past couple of months?" Namjoon was determined to lift the mood.
"Uh....we went to the nearby zoo before it closed for the winter..." Taehyung fell into deep thought as he realized there wasn't much to do in the small town he moved to. "Ummmm...yeah, not much else so far." Taehyung sinks deeper in thought. "But we are planning a trip to the museum in the next town." Taehyung perks up at the thought of going out of town. Namjoon nods in agreement.
"Sounds fun. Do they have a special exhibit right now?" Namjoon was genuinely curious. He loved museums too and thought that maybe this week would be a good time to go with his family.
"Yea, it's called 'Darwin & Dinosaurs', available until the end of May." Taehyung was bouncing in his chair. Clearly he was excited about the exhibit. "What about you Cuz? Anything exciting happen?" A large boxy smile filled his face. Namjoon smiles; remembering the events of the last few months. Other than the move and the wedding, which Taehyung had participated in both, nothing else exciting had happened.
"Nope, all has been calm." He pauses for a minute. "Minus fighting kids..." Namjoon trails off; thinking about how loud his kids can get when they are mad at each other.
"Hahah! Sounds like you have your hands full!" Taehyung openly laughs in Namjoon's face, leave a sour expression on Namjoon's face. He really wanted to put Taehyung in a headlock.
"Anyways..." Namjoon tries to change the subject.
"Good thing you don't have a another kid!" Taehyung interrupts him, practically shouting. "A third kid could be your death!" Taehyung is laughing so hard that he falls out of his chair. Namjoon just stares at the screen, watching Taehyung's chair spinning. At that moment, the door to Namjoon's office opens, startling him.
I walk in, pulling my hair up into a bun. Namjoon watches me as I walk over to him. I'm wearing a big white t-shirt, short jean shorts and stripped knee high socks. I put a hand on his shoulder.
