So the necklace belongs to some godlike fusion. Then why do I have an image of it in my mind? "Because you have seen it before." She said in a dark eerie voice. What do you mean? "Its in your head because it's a memory." She smile like it was some sort of sick joke. Memory? I thought as I noticed my left hand twitching. What are you doing? I thought we already determined who was in charge. "Yah... but I'm bored." She smiled with a devil like charm. My arm started to twitch out of control followed by my other. No! You will hurt someone! Innocent people!" I yelled as I urged my hands to cover my ears as they twitched out of control. I felt a sharp pain in my back as my spine broke to form a more beast like one. I let out a scream of pain as my bones broke to form the beast. And I was back in the room. The curtain closed making everything dark, shadows around the room made dark fearsome figures. Sounds echoed around the room, muffled screams and growls bounced off the walls. By head pounded and the room started to feel like it was moving beneath my feet. I sat down on the bed and hugged my knees to my chest. As the screams got louder I realized where they were coming from. I adjusted myself on the bed to peer underneath it. A small transparent ball with moving images laid on the floor.
I grabbed it carefully as it returned to a sitting position. I watched as the ball showed me a moving image. This thing was chasing people down the streets of Gotham. I'm hearing their screams. Their screams of fear and terror. A woman cried as she ran, dragging her little boy behind her. The monster cornered them in a dark ally. I watched as they shook in fear, waiting for the beast to make a move. The beast struck out with a huge claw, striking the woman. The child let out a bloodcurdling scream. The monster watched the child cry as he stared at his dead mother. Her blood soaking the pavement. The monster let out a growl before picking up the child it it's jaws. The child screamed until there was a crunch sound. The monster dropped the lifeless kid onto the blood soaked pavement. I felt a tear run down my face and drip onto the ball. It struck the ball and the image faded, along with the screams still that echoed in the background.
"Aww, is someone upset?" She cooed, I sat there silently as I stared at the ball. "The night it still young, and there is so much fresh blood. Gotham was a good choice Sapphire. Thank you." She smiled that last part evilly. I got up and slammed my fist into the wall beside the bed. Making my head spin, I sat down on the bed again. I have to stop her. I got up off of the bed and paced around the room, looking for anything that might help me. Nothing but a bed, some stuffed animals, a wall of bookshelves and a window. I thought grumpily. I walked over to the window and threw open the curtains. The dark empty exterior seamed darker than usual. The room started to grow cold, and the window started to fog up. I placed a my right hand on the glass, the window seamed to jump at my touch. I pulled my hand back with shock. Why did it move? I placed both of my hands on the window, the glass shook aggressively. I pushed back, suddenly I could see the world. The beast ran down the streets of Gotham, jumping on top of buildings and cars. "Leave me be!" She screamed as she realized my presence. No, you can't do this to theses innocent people! I yelled, "Says who?" She sneered. Me! I screamed as I fought for control over myself.
We tumbled off of a building and onto the street below. Cars screeched and swerved to avoid us, as we smashed into the cement. We let out a loud roar that shook the buildings and light posts around us. People around us screamed and ran for cover. "Get out!" She screamed as the beast screeched, its dark claws burring it's self into the sides of its head. We both shrieked in pain, blood dripping down the sides of our head. Sirens wailed it the background, we need to go! The beast started to move, I had more control now. "No, leave me be! You can't take my freedom!" She screamed, I'm not trying too. But when the police catch us they will, they will lock us up! I argued back. "I'll just kill them!" She yelled as she tried harder to get control, making us crash into a building. The buildings side broke apart sending bricks flying through the air. "Watch where you're going!" She hissed, that was your fault! I pointed out.
As we fought we crashed into many buildings, pieces of them flying everywhere. Large chunks smashed cars and windows of other buildings nearby. Sirens wailed and colored lights flashed on building in fount of us. They set up a barricade? "We have been running in a straight line." She grumped. Oh, crashing into buildings on different sides of the street is construction a straight line? I said with a sassy tone. As we closed in on the police they aimed there guns, prepared for our arrival. "Those ones look a little big for a police officer, don't the usually have hand guns or rifles?" She examined. Yah, that's because the SWAT team joined them. "The what? Can they hurt us, will they capture us?" She asked panicked. Want to find out? But it was to late, they opened fire. Bullets flew at us at an alarming rate. The small hand gun bullets bounced off our skin but the submachine gun's bullets ripped through our skin. Send a brutal pain through out body. Just keep running! When we get close make a strong left jump for that short tan building.
They were right in front of us. We planted our feet and leaped through the air, soaring over their heads. We used the tan building to gain momentum as we flew to the building across the street. Or claws catching some cement as they caught the side of the building. They can't shoot where their is pedestrians. I said pointing out my tactics as we leaped from building to building. "So why were they firing at us on the streets?" She said almost as if she was catching her breath. The streets were empty due to our rampage. I growled. The beast stumbled as she noticed where I was taking her. We fell off the building landing hard on our back. "I'm not going there! They will find us! There is nowhere to hide in the park!" She screeched as we picked our self off of the ground. The lights and sirens got closer making her take off towards the docks. We plowed through the streets running into anything in our path. Cars flipped, people screamed, the sirens wailed and the news helicopter flew overhead.
Or pace slowed from the loss of blood, our head started to spin and it vision blurred. It felt like we were running in space, the time slowed, our lungs tired, the world dark and blurred moving past us in slow shadows. But the monster kept running. We need to lose them before we pass out, or they will take us away and keep us contained somewhere dark. I said struggling to think. "Yah, okay." She said tiredly. Together one three? "One." She said starting the count down. Two. We closed our eyes for three and we were gone.
We ended up on the edge of one of the docks gasping for air, our body bent and contorted. With out enough energy and concentration we weren't able to put ourself back together probably. As she focused on rearranging out body as the beast form collapsed, I summoned all the strength I had left. Forming a white dagger, it glistened in the moonlight as I drove it into our left side. We gasped for air as I ripped it out of our skin. Our tired eyes came to a close and everything went quiet.
