Five months later...

Ariel and Kol are at the New York Institute in Patience's office. The Bane siblings are eating popcorn as they watch as their adoptive parents bicker.

"What are you two plotting?!"

"Darling, I have no idea what you are talking about."

"Oh, really?

"Yes."

"Wh... And he hasn't said anything?!"

"Because we aren't doing anything."

Ariel gasps. "...What do you all have planned? Huh? You're hiding something."

"You... You... You wanker!"

The Bane siblings both spit their drinks, heads down as they hold back their laughter.

"You learned that word from my sister, didn't you? It's from her vocabulary."

"Yes and I don't know what it means, but it sounds insulting!"

Kol smiles and kisses her. "You're so adorable."

"Don't try to distract me." Ariel blushes.

"I don't mind to interrupt but were you two always like this even back then?" Magnus asks.

"Only when he was getting on my nerves which he's doing now!"

"How is that boy doing?" Patience asks.

"Boy? You mean Jeremy? He's doing fine since we were able to create a spell that completed the mark. He was glad he didn't have to kill anyone."

"It's a good thing you were his anchor... That boy seems to think the world of you."

"Of course he does, Ariel is his better sister. Just like I am his best friend."

"...Sounds like he's your only friend." Magnus retorts.

"Ha! Don't be so sure about that! He's been hanging out with my sister a lot! They're hiding something from me!"

"Shouldn't you be getting to back? You have a prom to work on, darling."

"I don't want to go! You get to hunt demons but I have to fight for my life against my own sister!" Ariel whines.

"I swear you take after her." Patience whispers to Magnus.

"You're one to talk!" He whispers back.

"Darling if you agree to go back to school, then I will get you all the burgers that you want tomorrow. Deal?"

"Fine..." She points in Kol's face. "But this isn't over!"

"Actually before you go, there's something I need to know... Have you two slept together yet?"

Kol's eyes nearly bulge out of his head while Ariel's jaw drops.

"Patience! What is with that mouth of yours?!" Magnus scolds her.

"What? I'm curious."

"Why?!" The couple shout at her.

"Answer my question."

"Wow... You've changed quite a bit. You were never this bold with me!"

"Ya! Did you two sleep together or not?!"
