Liz barges into Ariel's room.

"Ariel Claudine Forbes! Can you go one day without getting kidnapped or getting into trouble?!"

She soon notices an unconscious Ariel on the floor and rushes to her side.

"Ariel?" She holds Ariel in her arms and pats her cheek." Sweetie, come on. Wake up!" She says while shaking her a bit.

Caroline comes in and her eyes widened.

"What happened?!" She asks as she also rushes to Ariel's side.

"I don't know! I just came in and found her like this! Call the hospital!"

"Don't."

The two look up to see Patience walking out of a portal.

"She will be fine." Patience sees the journal she gave to Ariel and picks it up. "So she read it..."

"What does that journal have to do with my unconscious daughter?!"

"This journal belongs to a past love. That's why I gave it to her to help her remember quickly."

"Why can't you just give her back her memories?! You admitted that you're the one who took them from her!"

"Get her on the bed so she'll be more comfortable."

"Are you going to explain yourself?!"

Patience sighs and takes Ariel from Liz's arms. "How about you focus on your daughter first?"

Caroline goes to help Patience and they both gently place Ariel on her bed. Patience strokes the hair away from Ariel's face.

"We're not talking about the same life. I can't give her back the memories she had if I never took them from her."

"W-what?" Liz stutters as she stands up.

"Do you remember what I told you? Ariel is someone that I owe my life to. She's been one of the most important people in my entire existence. But I left out a very important part... It's not just the memories she has of this life. It's also the memories of a life she had a very long time ago. So what she is remembering right now-"

"...What do you mean a long time ago?" Caroline asks.

"Here." Patience hands Caroline the journal. "Look at when this journal is dated... And look at a certain drawing."

Caroline hesitantly takes the journal and opens it. After a moment, she has a shocked expression as she drops the journal.

"Caroline? Sweetheart, what is it?"

When Caroline doesn't answer Liz, Patience looks over to Ariel's nightstand and picks up the pendant she gave her.

"This pendant? Is the reason I knew she returned to..." Patience's eyes narrow and she sighs. "I'll be right back."

Patience puts the pendant back down before creating another portal and leaving. Liz looks at a stunned Caroline.

"Caroline, what is going on?"

"Magnus, are you sure this is a good idea?"

"Look, Jace. You know that the mortal sword can only be used by a shadowhunter. I just need you to use it so we can him back. I'm doing this for her. "

"But what about-"

"What the hell are you two doing?!"

The two are startled by a fuming Patience's appearance.
