My stomach lurched as I was swept upward. My eyes shot open to reveal an inky darkness. I crawled forward and the cold metal dug into my hands. Where was I? It seemed as if I was in a lift or elevator of some sort... By the metal and movement. But why? I couldn't remember anything, yet something seemed familiar. The word Jordan crawled into my line of thoughts, I figured it must be my name.
My eyes started to adjust to the dark tar room. I noticed a few crates here with me in the cold lift. I peered downward through the small holes in the metal to find nothing, no sign of anything but black. I looked upward and all I saw was black as well. This lift was taking me to oblivion. I tried to stand up by my knees bucked and I tumbled to the hard ground. I figured to wait it out and laid on the ground preparing for the worst.
The lift lurched and my stomach fell, causing me to gag and hold my stomach. The 'roof' parted to reveal a blinding light. I tried to stand up again but stumbled backwards landing on the cold grated ground.
"Hello?" I croaked.
"It's a girl!" A thick accent announced.
I was met with a flurry voices saying things like so,
"Are you sure it isn't a boy with long hair?"
"Lawrence you shucking piece of klunk, I'm pretty sure he knows what a girl looks like!"
"Why a girl?"
"What's going on!"
My vision finally focused to reveal a group of grungy teenagers. A dark skinned guy stepped forward.
"What's going on?!" I demanded with a quavering voice.
The dark skin guy who I assumed was the leader stepped closer to the lift.
"Welcome to the Glade, Greenie," he replied.
Ok sorry if it's bad but Wattpad is extremely glitchy and deleted half of the chapter and I got too lazy to rewrite it so yeah ~Alayna (Bold isn't working)
