9. Raining Confessions.

As soon as I turned around to see Liam's red face, I immediately knew I fucked up.

"Liam, wait!" I shouted down the road.

I started chasing after him until he stopped and put his hands on his knees.

"Stop chasing me. I saw what you two did."  he said, gasping for air between words.

As I turned to face him, I felt a drop of rain hit my nose. Then another on my cheek. Great. As the rain started pouring down, Liam spoke again.

"I don't get why this bothers you so much Liam! For fuck sake I don't know why everyone in this city never answers my questions. Whatever you saw between Ryan and I back there, there was no true emotion in that." I yelled.

"Are you sure 'Sweet Cheeks'?" he said mocking Ryan. "because I can tell you now it definitely looked like something was there."

"Trust me there wasn't. I don't like Ryan. My heart is for someone else. Why do you care anyway?" I said.

"Can't you tell, Aria? Has it not gone through that thick skull of yours?" he said.

"Has what?" I asked, confused.

"Look. Aria, I like you. And it hurts me deeply to see you with someone else. Especially a dickhead like Ryan."

He stared at me for a few minutes. I looked at his messy hair. His sea green eyes. He looks like a fucking angel. How is it fair that God made this human look so goddamn perfect but me look like a rat? It's not.

Then his eyes moved to my lips. We kissed. And for a moment my whole world and universe felt like it became stardust. My whole body felt different. Compared to anyone else, kissing Liam felt like I was temporarily transported to another universe. Nobody could bother me. Nothing would stop this.

We walked back through the front door with his arm around my waist, hugging me tight. I took off my wet converse and smirked at Liam before running upstairs. I turned on the shower and smiled to myself the whole time.

The next day I woke up with the sun shining through the window. I don't really fall in love many times, but with Liam I felt something different. I got dressed and looked at myself in the mirror. Today was one of the first days I felt good about myself. I was going to put on my red converse but they were still soaking from last night, so instead I put on my heel boots. I put on some round vintage sunglasses and headed to the shops along the beach.

I went into a small coffee shop run by a sweet old lady. I ordered some tea and looked at the pier. That's when I had an idea.

Hey, do you want to come with me to the Pier? We can go on some of the rides and get some chips.

After sending the message a huge grin grew on my face. I finished up my tea and walked into a H&M where I found Penny shopping.

"Hey! How are you?" I asked her.

"I'm good. What about you? Do you think this what suit me?" she said holding a white blouse up to her torso.

"Yes girl! You would literally suit anything." I chuckled.

We giggled for a while about her being able to pull off wearing a trash bag.

"I'm sure you would! haha." I said.

"You look really cute when you laugh." said a voice from behind me.

A voice I would recognise from miles away. Liam.

"Oh hey." I said, smirking.

"Wait a minute..." said Penny. "Is there something going on between you two?" she smirked.

"I think that's my que to take you with me princess." smiled Liam.

"I think so too" I smirked.
